Solid Pokemon game. They tried to do more with the plot, but it was ultimately unnecessary. Graphics were a nice upgrade from the previous GBA entry. Decent challenge.

My mom went to Target really early in the morning to get a copy for me. I was so excited waiting for her the whole time. She even bought me the strategy guide. Absolute top tier moment, mom. You're the best.

Imagine thinking Sinnoh is the worst region in a series that has Kalos and Galar

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BOY

I straight up do not remember a single second of this game.

me acuerdo cuando perdí el save de este juego y lloré varios días seguidos AAA

Nintendo/ Game Freak please give me a remake.

Sluggish boring fucking game. I sleep.

Gen 4 was my introduction to the series with this game specifically the one I am most nostalgic towards. Also looking back there are definitely some strange things in this 'director's cut' that the Diamond/Pearl games should have had initially; that development time must have been really tight huh.

A lot of people have pretty awful takes on Pokémon but as long as they like this game they're okay in my book

funny undergroudn funny wi-fi plaza

i wish i could relive playing this game for the first time... distortion world and giratina slayed!

FUCK BRONZONG

ALL MY HOMIES HATE BRONZONG

Extremely good idea of what Pokémon can and should be. Solving issues from Diamond and Pearl, like lack of Pokémon variety and slow gameplay speeds, Platinum also offers a sweet spot of difficulty for a Pokémon game.

Sinnoh offers a great region to roam around, filled with all kinds of different areas and terrain. All kinds of things to find and unlock. It also has a really good soundtrack.

My main issue with the game is the sheer amount of HMs. You need about 5 of them just to get through Victory Road and Mount Coronet alone. I found myself having to carry a HM slave with me far too often, or giving crappy moves like Rock Smash to a main team member.

There's also a lot of backtracking involved every time you get a HM. The game gets credit for having so much to explore, but if you play like I do, then everytime new things open up you have to check them out, meaning for each new HM I tended to spend a lot of time putting the story on hold to revisit old areas.

This game is such a snooze fest. It's so slow, and the battles take forever. The world is not interesting in the slightest, and the story is lame yet again. I don't like many of the original Pokemon here either.

Played this to try and get into the series with my wife (she had played every iteration up to that point). It was fine for me, but nothing outstanding...but did set up what would eventually be my constant interest in this style of game down the line.

It has it's good share of issues but it has alot of content to dig into, charm and isn't piss easy like the awful 3ds and switch games so there's that.

i really don't like sinnoh's aesthetic

Solidified in my brain as a fond memory of childhood, revisiting this game made me see the errors that make the adventure a bit of a slog sometimes. The movement, although improved from Diamond&Pearl, still remains a tad clunky and slow.

generacion que introdujo lore del gordito. version mejorada wapisima ademas la ost es a piano por lo cual ta pepino

funny wall hop haha no gravity :)

I remember literally nothing about this game.

i remember loving this when it came out but i haven't played it in so long. interested to return to it. has an aura that stuck with me for a long time, even without playing it

pokemon really did peak with the ds, huh

hmm today i will ohko blissey from full health (clueless)

Pokémon Pearl Version was the first Pokémon game I played and owned. I love it so much, so naturally I was pretty excited when Nintendo announced Pokémon Platinum Version. I love all of the changes added to this game, and therefore, I love this game even more than Pearl. First of all, the game is faster than Pearl when it comes to battles, which does help making the game feel more smooth. Secondly, the story got an overhaul to the point that there is no reason to play Pearl for its story ever again. Now the story elements and battles are more exciting and more epic. Plus, it resulted in some amazing tunes, like Distortion World and Battle! Giratina, which are some of my favourite tunes in the entire series. Beating the champion at the end was extremely satisfying and I look forward to the post game content!

appreciate that they made the game less slideshow, but it's still pretty damn slideshow. they won me over with oventom tho ITS SO CUTE I LOVE OVENTOM
