It's cute, fun, and meaningless. Interesting how we got such a fun movement mechanic so early and how little reciprocity it received since then. This is purely based on established aesthetics, because few people will object to that swinging at high speed with a nice rhythm through a sun-drenched evening sky between floating islands just looks good. Beyond that? You'll see very little. This is more of an escapism game than anything else, and if it was released today it would be a different story. But it was pretty early and built a nice bridge between minimalism and accessibility.

First person platforming intertwined with ok-ish storytelling. It’s quite challenging at certain points. If that’s your jam, go for it. It won’t take you long to beat it.

Wonderful smooth movement, jumping and the energy beam grabling is fantastic. The way the story was told as a bedtime story was quite fun and unique in my opinion and I really enjoyed that. The game was a lot shorter than I expected and the graphics were wonderful. I just wish the crosshair marker would have been smaller for better screenshots, or that there was a way of hiding it temporarily.

If you receive this game for free, its definitely worth it, but at just above 12€, I dont think it is worth it compared to the content length and quality. If you get it at a discount, be sure to grab it!

É um jogo divertido até, a melhor coisa dele é a liberdeade de movimentação, é bem satisfatória.

A história pra falar a verdade não lembro muito bem, faz tempo que joguei, e não é muito marcante pelo visto, é bem simples.

É um jogo interessante pra passar o tempo!

Ótimo jogo de parkour, tem várias mecânicas divertidas que deixam bem fluído o avanço dos mapas. Assim como diz na descrição do game, é um plataformer em primeira pessoa. Ele é bem linear mas isso não tira nadinha a satisfação do jogo, é bem gostoso tentar várias vezes até descobrir como passar de uma parte difícil.

A história por trás do jogo é simples, mas ainda consegue fazer você se apegar aos personagens, o final me deixou com um nó na garganta... Além de pensativo sobre o significado do jogo.

O que ele falta em profundidade na história ele compensa com ambientação. Os mapas do jogo, principalmente a segunda vila que você visita, são incríveis. Te dão um sentimento de calor e conforto muito bom, até mesmo os mapas mais "obscuros" e frios do jogo.

Após zerar, ele tem um modo "Trials" onde você consegue medalhas por passar a fase no menor tempo possível, além de uns achievements interessantes e desafiadores. Honestamente ambos são bem difíceis, como havia gostado bastante da gameplay tentei fazer alguns, mas depois de muitas tentativas e falhas decidi deixar por aí mesmo.

Acho que no fim, assim como a história do jogo dá a entender, tudo tem um fim, e decidi deixar a minha história com esse jogo acabar com o fim da campanha mesmo.

Adorei a experiência do começo ao fim, recomendo de mais! Não se deixem enganar pela idade do jogo, ele é muito bem feitinho e gostoso de jogar.

While much shorter than most, A Story About My Uncle spends every moment building itself up as an endlessly fun and sometimes challenging adventure filled with childlike wonder and dreamlike beauty.

I originally got this game in 2015 on sale due to the “parkour” tag and have had it sitting in the backlog ever since, and finally spent a weekend I forced myself not to care about school to play through it in one sitting. As I’m a teacher, I’ve been thinking a lot about how to instill wonder in students, and in tandem I’ve been thinking about wonder itself, and what used to give me that sense of “wonder” that certain of my favorite childhood media gave me. I really think the visuals, in the art style and locations, really sell the almost otherworldly invitation that had been coming back to me.

The parkour in the game is much less Mirror’s Edge and more like Uncharted, being able to grapple hook across these humongous levels that is super satisfying and sometimes provides a pretty good challenge when you’re on a timer. There are many instances of the fact “THIS IS A STUDENT GAME” being very clear and loud, but there’s enough passion and wonder to move past them.

Hikayesi de var. Oyunun adı da oradan geliyor zaten. Fena değil. Çaba var hikaye anlatımına karşı. Tabi ahım şahım şeyler beklemeyin hikaye bakımından ama parkur yapayım, relax takılayım, biraz da hikayesi olsun diyorsanız bence çok iyi oyun.
