Bro why the fuck is the tutorial fucking longer than an hour I just wanna race cars in the sky.

In honor of the GTA VI trailer reveal, I wanted to return to GTA V and review it. I'll split the review into two, the story mode & the online because I have drastically different opinions regarding the two. When people say GTA V is good, I think about the Story mode. When they say GTA V is bad, the Online mode comes to mind. I am one of those people.

GTA V Online is very unique and cool but at the same time very bland and boring. The amount of customization is extraordinary. From the weapons, vehicles and properties, there's truly nothing like it (that I've played at least). The 4 heists are what I had the most fun playing. All the businesses are cool, but also very tedious and time consuming to manage. For the longest time, you had to go into public lobbies to manage them. Now, you can go into a private solo lobby. The problem with the businesses is that you need other players to help you, to minimize the grind. However, most people won't because they're not really getting anything out of it. So, you're kinda forced to do everything solo which can get really boring really quick.

GTA V Online has some cool missions, in concept. Actually playing them will put you to sleep faster than a tranquilizing dart. They always take place halfway across the map from where you're at. You could say the same about the story mode missions, but at least the characters and plot are interesting and really well written. In Online, your character doesn't speak (which I understand) and you're forced to listen to some of the weirdest dialogue over the phone. My favorite being a government agent talking about shoving his foot in a toilet full of shit. Everyone talks like a super energized immature 12 year old. Sometimes it's funny, often time it's annoying.

GTA 5 Online has to have some of if not the worst NPC programming. When driving, it almost seems as though the NPC are designed to crash into you or drive in a way so you crash into them. It's really annoying, especially with how frequent it is. To alleviate the frustration and fasten the pace, you could always take a helicopter or the Oppressor MK2. But I think that's kinda of lame considering how awesome the cars are. GTA V Online's terrible mission design makes the cars useless and a terrible investment. They're only there for show. Shooting NPC's is terrible because they deal so much damage and with perfect accuracy. You'll find yourself dying, a lot. The snack and armor system doesn't help you because you run through them fast and you have to go out of your way to go to the stores and restock. Again, very annoying. I've already mentioned the irrigating dialogue, but here's a quick reminder.

GTA V Online has so many griefers and tryhards to where I never play in a public lobby ever. As mentioned before, you used to need to be in a public lobby to manage your business. Imagine stocking your warehouse with 111 crates only to have some a-hole destroy it all. All that grind for nothing and this summarizes the GTA V Online experience the best. A complete waste of time.

GTA V Online is only fun if you play it once every 2 or 3 years. That way, there will be a lot of new content to experiment with. Playing this game every game and grinding the businesses is a total waste of time. The last time I played GTA 5 online was April 6th, 2022. I've had some fun returning to the game on December 10th, 2023, but got bored after only 2 days of playing. Safe to say, I'll never return to GTA 5 Online again and wait patiently for GTA VI in 2025.

if youre rating this as a game yeah its not very good

but like... gta multiplayer?? thats just a good time man

5/10 because it could be a 10/10 or a 0/10 based on what you did when u played it

One of the best online games at its peak. After nearly 10 years you can tell that its fallen off a fair bit. Public sessions are a no go if you want to try and make money. Grinding the same heists gets a bit boring after a while and eventually once you have bought everything you want money becomes useless. However you cant deny that we all have great memories on this game.

90x melhor que o red dead online e sinceramente eu não acho a economia tão ruim não

it's been a money grab since day one and it'll be a money grab forever

ps de iyide pc de kötü hile dolu

Decided to give it a go since multiplayer is free on PS4 this weekend and thought, why not.

Dropped on the very first mission. Fuck that. Can't understand how they thought such it was a good idea to start their game with such a frustratingly badly designed mission. I looked up online on how to beat it, but...nah. Not worth it.

As someone who started GTA Online well after its launch, this game was a confusing mess - but I saw the potential it had if i just gave it time and effort. Eventually I had a good grasp of the amount of content thanks to friends who played it with me, but that doesn't fix the fact that GTAO has a serious issue with how it presents the player with content. The content itself is of high quality for the most part, with engaging heists and compelling fan service, and the premise of playing GTA with friends is enough of a selling point.

GTA Online. It gave me adrenaline rushes, anger, pain, tears and sweat. I liked playing with strangers except when they shot me down because I am a woman and wore undergarments. It was indeed good gameplay and I liked having money to spend on girly fits and weapons and hairstyles. I didn't like the male gaze this game holds tho but got free drinks and party meow:33333

I lost my virginity when I would do all the casino heist setups solo and my friends demanded 30% cut.

I think I have ~2 hours in GTA V singleplayer, and 200 hours in the online mode. During COVID, playing this with my friends has become one of my favorite memories in all of gaming. Are there cheaters, plenty of bullshit, a terrible pricing system, and more to complain about? 100%. But these things also did create memories for me. It's a broken mess of a multiplayer, but man, it's fun if you just accept that.

Closing this game after playing it for a while feels like waking up on the bathroom floor with a hangover.

This game doing well robbed us of the following:

8 story DLC for GTAV

Fuck it

Literally EVERITHING is wrong. The only good thing is that its sometimes funny with friends.

first and foremost fuck this game and fuck everything it stands for. ive played countless hours grinding this stupid level system to level 700 from day one on ps3 then one day i got too greedy and did the unthinkable: i duped a car (yes i did it multiple times but still, my friends did it too but didnt get banned) they fucking banned me, removed my player and every possessions ive grinded hard to have from existence. first offence and i was out. but then i removed the game entirely and my life hasnt been better since tbh.

If you have to retain only one thing: this game is the reason we didnt get gta 6 like 5 years ago.

no quiero volver a tocar esta caga

They don't have the PC port listed here but that's the version I play.

GTA online is fun as hell with friends but the split second you come accross a server hacker (and you will, they're everywhere... it's bad, and Rockstar basically refuses to do anything to stop them) the whole game experience comes to a halt, so you best set up a private session and just invite friends you want to play with.

There's enough content on this game at this point to keep you and a group busy for a few hours before you get bored taking part in the 'psychopath simulator' and they always do seasonal map-wide events so that's always fun.

I hate how much I've played this game.

Slow levelling, greedy real-world cash prices, bad coop teammates that don’t know how to do their part in heists. Not worth playing unless with friends.

Cayo Perico, te hecho de menos

Yeah, after playing for 500+ hours, getting every business and most of the major stuff there's not much left to do but fool around.

But Rockstars recent decision to remove what.. 189 vehicles or so, made me not want to come back ever.

I was already struggling to enjoy this but playing with a group that had The Most Evil Man Alive really did make me sour on this game even more. Who the fuck decided Grand Theft Auto should be your second job?

It's Bad!
