i love quake, but i can't help feeling like it tainted the shooter scene. if it weren't for the genre-defining quakeworld update, maybe we wouldn't have to deal with an endless barrage of esports titles designed to drive their players into a maddened frenzy (though i could just as easily blame warcraft).

as for valorant? fuck anyone who supports this beyond soulless game. massive red flag! avoid the fans at all costs. every single friendship i have had with a valorant player has gone down in flames.

Unfortunately I have given this game one more half star than I did before. The only thing that makes this game more tolerable is playing with friends which I have been doing lately. If you are a woman or someone with a femme voice you immediately get clocked as and get harassed. I'm giving it 3 and a half stars but at some point you really have to change your mindset in this game to "it is just a game, who cares" or it immediately gives you brain rot and makes you the most toxic human being known to man. I hate the way this game handles currency in every way, these skin bundles are not worth 80 real buckaroonies at all and you get no in game currency from the battlepass like every other godforsaken fps game in the world. This game sucks I love it. Also going back into the review and instead of giving it an extra half star it lost one. I still love playing with friends but the rest of it sucks. <3

O jogo ficou desinteressante a cada atualização que eles fizeram, enquanto sua comunidade ficava ainda mais chata por ser tóxica, contudo, para uma comunidade de FPS competitivo não esperava tanta coisa em relação à eles. É um bom FPS de poderzinho, mas a Rizoto foi socando tantos personagens que agora a maioria dos personagens são desbalanceados e alguns, de certa forma, são inúteis para a jogatina. Estou desde o beta fechado nesse jogo e fico triste em saber que a única coisa que presta agora no Valorant seja apenas as cinematics que a Riot lança no canal do Youtube deles (que em questão de enredo e desenvolvimento de personagens, em minha opinião, são bem fracas comparado com a história de Runeterra e seus personagens).

Fucking abhorrent. Laughably unbalanced matchmaking, toxic player-base with cringe e-daters, no player freedom by being forced to run meta only; else you'd be hated for "throwing the match", a tutorial that teaches you jack shit on how to actually win, annoying abilities that don't feel fun at all to fight against, an irritating focus on competitive play that sacrifices good game design and ruins any sense of fun, literally the worst micro-transactions I've seen in a non-mobile video game, even anti-cheat that apparently is malware, all of which combines into this piece of "entertainment" I absolutely despise to no end. Just spend your $100 on many other, BETTER games instead of some lousy cosmetic pack that only gives you around 8 subpar skins.

I will go into detail for the uninitiated: those words accurately describe Valorant.

This game has no "sauce" in that it lacks anything to make it stand out from other games. It takes the general movement and gunplay of Counterstrike, but makes it glacially slow. It takes the heroes of Overwatch and gives them piddly, diet abilities that mean there isn't much distinguishing one hero from the next.

Valorant has no movement because your run speed is not only abysmal, but your jump sucks and shift walking is maddeningly slow too. In addition, the game heavily discourages running by making half the map hear you when you do so.

Valorant is unseasoned chicken because it has no soul. None of the characters have a lick of personality, which reflects this game's hardcore fanbase. Some of the characters look like a randomized Sims 3 citizen. The maps are painfully bland. Does this game even have music? I forgot.

And finally, Valorant is a content game because it has no artistic merit. At least Overwatch tries to have distinct heroes with some level of personality, backstory, etc. Not only that, but Overwatch shows artistry in the game design. So does Counter Strike, though it may be less obvious. Valorant is basically Riot saying "Wow, counterstrike and Overwatch are popular, let's do the same thing but worse!"

As an additional note, the community is atrocious. Genuinely. I was playing with this discord mod of a large server (he insisted on joining me and some friends...) and the guy was just a total moron. He was in his 30's and constantly calling everyone a cunt and a bitch. He kept telling me to change to a different weapon because my choice wasn't "optimal." Why are weird transphobic manchildren attracted to mind numbing mid? I'll let you be the judge of that.

Huge steaming pile of garbage. The game is impossible to enjoy without initially sinking ~60 hours into it, only around half of the guns in the game are actually viable, the players are beyond insufferable, and the anticheat is an actual virus, which PERMANENTLY slowed down my PC, and uninstalled my keyboard & mouse’s softwares. The mind-numbing gameplay consists of nothing more than either holding one angle for god knows how long, or two players peeking back and forth from that same angle, only describable as being like Footsies in fighting games if the characters didn’t have legs. The worst part is the players’ reaction if you try to deviate from the brain-rotting meta and have the AUDACITY to try and have fun. One time I was playing ranked with my cousin in the same room, and I was so sick of the fucking yoo-hoo gameplay that i ran into the bomb site, immediately got sniped, and my cousin got up and roundhouse kicked me in the head. 0/10 would rate lower if I could.

O CS KILLER.

Não curti muito o estilo. Parece um jogo feito por IA, totalmente genérico tentando juntar CS e Overwatch. Os personagens são qualquer coisa, as armas parecem Nerfs. Os mapas são... Esquecíveis.
É bem otimizado e pensado pro público BR também, tem seus méritos.

Opinião sem hate. Eu esqueci que joguei umas três partidas disso e acabei não fazendo a review.
