I don't care if I get called a soy redditor, before Elden Ring, this was THE open world game, and in my heart, still is.

Beat this back in either 2017 or 2018. I remember it being unlike anything I had ever played, especially when it came to the Zelda series. When I played the other Zelda games as a kid, I always thought they were cool but could never get into them because they were to hard for me. Breath of The Wild changed that, and now the Zelda franchises is on of my favorites.

Finally got around to beating it again after so many years. I forgot just how limitless the world was. Theres so much you can do in it. Honestly it's probably the perfect format for an open world game. It just lets you loose into the kingdom of Hyrule, and I loved every minute of it.

Love the story and the characters. Cutscenes were cool and Link is still on of the best characters in fiction. Loved all the desings for the charcters as well.

Story was great as usual with Zelda games, even though the story took a back seat to the gameplay. Really enjoyed the dinamic between Link and Zelda, honestly all the dynamics with Link in any other chacter were all pretty much perfect.

The Ending was good but the final boss was a bit easy, but thats no a big deal since how cinematic they made the ending. Great ending cutscene after the credits as well.

Not much I didn't like about the game. Link's movements can be a little weird sometimes, the titles sceen was lame, the Horse movement could have been a lot better, the line delivery on the voice acting definitley needed some work, and the fact that if you want to continue your playthrough after you beat Ganon you have to start back before you beat him always pissed me off, but all and all, those are very minor complaints to the overall experience.

Not much to say that already hasn't been said about a game that has been called a masterpiece by pretty much everyone who plays it. Just one of the best experiences in gaming, and in any art form in general.

Score: 4.8/5
Letter Grade: S++

This and tears of the kingdom are genuinely equal, neither is better than the other but both goated

The first 30 or so hours of this game, just figuring out how things work for the first time and beginning to explore the world, is one of my favorite gaming memories ever

imagine playing breath of the wild on wii u LMAOOOOOO

this game is incredible and an absolute must play for switch (I guess Wii U also?) owners! the freedom this game hands you is honestly unmatched in my opinion and playing this on master mode is one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in an open world game, it takes awhile to pick up at first before you leave the plateau but once you're free to roam you are quite literally free to go do whatever you want.

TLDR: play it

Breath of the wild is a "one of a kind" game. The way it's designed and concieved to the very core makes the game amazing. A vast world with tons of thing to do, the gameplay is good, not amazing but really fit in the world, the soundtrack has some amazing tracks, but where the game really shines is in the way the game leads you the point of interest. Wherever you will look, wherever you will travel, there will something to catch your eye. The fact that you also have no other objectives than "slay 4 beasts and beat ganon" makes the exploration much less frustrating because you don't think on missing out anything. This game would require an in depth analysis and i'm pretty sure it has already been done 100 times, but this is one of the best open worlds ever made.

Not a Legend of Zelda game, ruined the fandom
Decent gameplay ig, but it (and TotK) completely upended the lore for nothing

good art style, fun combat, exploration is insane, the world feels super alive. People complain about the weapon durability but I think it forces you to be creative. The shrines suck ass tho so thats why im taking away a star

In agreement with the majority here. It's great.

This game means more to me than any other game. It is my favorite game of all time, with TotK being a close second. I would fight Mike Tyson if he said he didn't like this game.

Full review later, but this is the best game I have ever played.

I wasn't too happy when playing this at first as it was a traditional Zelda with dungeons, but when I came back to it at a later date I ended up loving it.

Beautiful, engaging ,endlessly interesting ,great soundtrack and so much more one of the best games ever I think that this game transcends gaming as a whole I think this game moves past being just an open world game

This game was really the first game to throw modern open world design in the garbage bin. And that is so much for the better.

this is what open worlds should be like, plus its a zelda game. You know daddy aunoma cooked

I’m certified to say this game is great with my over 600 hours on it

Una obra maestra, el mejor juego que he jugado

ive played through this game like 3 times, i love it sm i find it so fun and i love all the little things and the designs i love it

pretty great. Though I think people kinda forget how empty it can be

This game is amazing. Although this game doesn't play like the rest of the games in the Zelda franchise, it is still a top tier videogame. Just don't play it on the Wii U as the game drops frames like crazy.
