This is easily the best Ratchet and Clank game. The platforming and maneuverability is massively improved from the previous games. Its got a feeling of moving around similar to Mario Odyssey. Absolutely fantastic game.

there are a few things that felt gimmicky - and i could've forgiven that because personally i love mini-games and the platforming "pocket-dimensions" because i'm a completionist, but fighting a juggernaut or gunther every other main mission was getting old, introduce a new enemy, dont just reskin the gunther and do it again!

We love the return of PS2 Platformers

A lovely game that celebrates the series while also bringing in loads of brilliant new characters and concepts that are tons of fun! Love Rivet and Kit and was kinda going insane over the PS5 stuff like the controller.

A nice fun ride that was a great palate cleanser for me

First true next gen game I have played. Graphic is truly amazing but gameplay is only decent that’s only 4 stars.

First entry I played of the series, I thought it was pretty nice shooter / platformer and not as gimmicky as sly Cooper. I ain’t know nothing about this series but if the rest of them like this? Sheeeesh. I thought the gameplay with different weapons and dimension switching rifting mechanic was pretty cool but I didn’t like the Disney channel styled writing omg that was terrible. The shotgun I had was automatically the most broken and I was just spamming especially during bosses like the heart for Nefarious’s big giant machine thing. Took it out in 30 seconds. The worlds were pretty similar I don’t remember, they tried an open world with the one with the Archives and I forgot the rest. Overall fun experience, ps5 graphics are insane hopefully it wasn’t carried because of that cause gameplay was like a bullet hell.

I did like the GOLDEN BOLT cheat thing, I turned off RPG damage numbers and that was awesome!

Eh. Not bad but not anything mindblowing either

Doesn't stray too far from the typical Ratchet and Clank formula but is masterfully executed. Also not sure if they were introduced in this game or not, but the rocket boots really help with the flow of everything. Looks beautiful and runs great too - it was dope there was no load time when transitioning between pocket dimensions. Probably my fave Ratchet and Clank since the originals on PS2.

3rd game that I have got platinum a very good little fun game smooth gameplay with good graphics a bit short to warrant more stars and to get the return policy trophy was starting to annoy me but over all a very good game

A fascinating interdimensional journey, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart offers players a superb gaming experience with engaging action, lovable characters, and top-notch humorous writing. I had only played A Crack in Time before to this, so I am now excited to play more of the series after finishing it.

Rift Apart's extensive arsenal of weaponry is one of the game's most notable qualities. The sheer range and creativity of the weaponry at my disposal attracted me as soon as I began my adventure. I found myself using every weapon in my armory since each one seemed distinct and had a distinct function. The Lightning Rod stood out as my particular favorite among all. It was easy to make foes and bosses submit to my will due to to its powerful rate of fire and ability to obstruct enemy movements.

Speaking of combat, Rift Apart has excellent level design. The game successfully balances difficult confrontations with expertly designed locations. Combat is given an additional degree of strategy by the placement of objects like the red boxes that explode, keeping confrontations from getting simple and dull. Since it enables players to approach each encounter in their own special way, the game is kept engaging and fresh throughout.

One of the game's biggest highlights is the introduction of Rivet, a fascinating and lovable character who serves as a parallel version of Ratchet. It was a lot of fun exploring her character. A unique dynamic between the two playable characters was formed and gave the story more depth by allowing viewers to see this other version of Ratchet with plenty of screentime together. Kit's presence as Clank's counterpart also enhanced the added depth and comedy, all in all making for an excellent cast of characters that kept me interested in their journey.

Rift Apart's narrative may not be ground-breaking, but it still succeeds in engrossing players in an exciting multiverse adventure. The game tackles the idea of numerous realities effectively and weaves it into an exciting narrative. It provides a far more enjoyable and interesting experience than most multiverse stories in media, more specifically with MCU movies. The ideal duration of the narrative ensures that it doesn't drag on unnecessarily while yet providing a rewarding and pleasant experience.

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart is a game that shines in its focus on detail and capacity to build an engrossing universe. An excellent gameplay experience is provided by its enormous selection of weaponry, memorable characters like Rivet and Kit, and skillfully designed level layout. The graphics are also absolutely riveting. It definitely takes advantage of PS5 hardware, and it makes me happy that Insomniac didn't settle for a cross-gen game. It is also worth praising how this game is understandable to newcomers like me, as I wasn't confused about anything happening. Rift Apart is a must-play that will leave you itching for more adventures in the Ratchet & Clank universe, whether you've been a longtime fan of the series or a beginner like myself.

I haven't played a ratchet and clank game in forever, so I got into this with morbid curiosity as to how the series is holding up. I liked it a lot. The combat is classic, and the story is funny as always. I loved the inclusion of some characters like Emperor Nefarious, and Rivet was cool (Kit was mehhh). I wish they did more with the portal mechanic. Maybe make portal jumping important in combat? I saw it as a normal R&C game with some portals and thats it. Good game though

first ratchet game that ive played, its good

I keep that ratchet on me haha

bemmmm divertidinho com gráficos lindos e gameplay muito delicia com os gatilhos do controle do ps5 e tal.. história fofinha me senti jogando um filme da disney

This is everything that I love about Ratchet and Clank. I know most diehard fans of the series miss the satirical bite the original trilogy offered, I truly fell in love with the series with this reboot and the Future series. I love the Pixar-esque story that puts a smile on my face since so many non-Nintendo titles in recent years have been darker than what we're given here.

The combat is top notch third person action, the platforming is excellent, it's one of the prettiest games I've ever played, and it feels absolutely incredible with a DualSense controller. This is a must play if you have a PS5 (even if you never played the game prior) and I implore the industry to make tight 10-15 hour single player games like this in a world where everything has to be a bloated open world mess.

Beautiful visuals with liquid smooth gameplay. Wish it wasn't so short though.

Shorter than the other games but good anyways. R&C1 Remake is still better imo.

Very charming title with a good implementation of graphics and loading techniques. While i do not have any attachment to the franchise as this is my second game, I can see how some fans did not like it since it's more of a Rivet game.

Short and sweet with an easy platinum while maintaining a combat experience fun of diverse weapons as always, even when the enemy variety falls a little bit.

A beautiful, shiny thing that completely runs out of steam by the end. Far too linear and restrictive in its design from something that feels like it's dying to burst out of the seams with fun ways to play and could have so many possibilities!

Joguinho bem divertido e carismático, com alma de jogo do ps2.
Alem de tudo, aproveita muito bem as funcionalidades do dualsense.

This is the first Ratchet and Clank where I actually cared about the story and I'm interested to see where they're taking it with the next one. Also, graphically, I think this is the most gorgeous 3D platformer ever created!

While this is Ratchet and Clank through and through, I'm not sure it's the series at it's best? In presentation and fidelity, it definitely is. However, I almost felt like the Remake from 2016 felt better in a gameplay sense?

I mean, don't get me wrong, it's still a fun game but I feel like most fights were the same where I would throw out a couple Fungi's and a sprinkler and kind of just do some support and clean up in the back. It felt easy to cheese at times.

Also, enemies seemed to repeat a lot more throughout this game than in the 2016 remake. I felt like I fought the same enemies and boss types A LOT through out my play through. It kind of felt like "Oh, these guys again" a lot.

Despite that, the game does offer a lot of variety. Lots of extra mini game type stuff like riding the speedle, the virus tank missions and Clanks puzzle areas... I really appreciated the variety and how it broke up the main game. If this game was ONLY the shooting portion, I'm not sure I would've liked it as much.

There was another issue I had where I was on a certain level trying to mop up all the collectibles but I was having a hard time accessing certain parts. I wasn't aware that later in the game, these areas "officially" opened up and I could explore them to finish the level then. I wish they put something up, even like a little character to be say "Hey Rivet, we're all good here!" Or "Hey it's under construction over here" something to tip the player off that they can't go there just yet.

I also want to point out that the rumbling and feedback on the PS5 controller needs to be experienced in this game, it really does take it to another level. The feeling of some of the weapons with the controller was something I was not expecting and really enjoyed.

So, while this game may be a bit prettier than the 2016 remake, offer some variety with the gameplay and have a really cool "rumble experience" I do feel like the weapons and gunplay were maybe a half step back. I don't feel bad putting this game at the same rating as the 2016 remake because I think they're equals in certain regards.

However, I can't wait to see what they do in the next sequel because I think that they are going to absolutely nail it. At least, I hope!

4.25 Stars
This game maintains the greatness this series established long ago. It features the usual hectic combat, ridiculous upgradeable arsenal, and witty humor. The plot alternates with another dimension, where you meet counterparts of all the main characters, creating a charming intergalactic adventure and adding to an already likeable cast.

This game seems to be the series' most accessible also, based on its settings and easily attainable RYNO and Platinum Trophy. The visuals are magnificent (photo mode emphasizes this) and the game ran great in 120hz, fidelity mode.

This game easily ranks amongst the best the Ratchet and Clank series has to offer.

I was never a fan of Ratchet and Clack. I played the original PS2 game, the first PS3 game and the remake on PS4 but those games never clicked with me... until now.

I don't know what it was, but I absolutely loved Rift Apart. I enjoyed the combat, the humor, the dialog and the action. The only thing I can say I was kinda disappointed is that the series is know for its whacky weaponry and it's not until NewGame+ that you unlock a couple of truly weird weapons.

On the technical side, the game runs and looks amazing. There are several moments in which the camera pans away and you truly believe you are still in a cutscene. The only technical issues are a couple of bugs I found during my gameplay.

Overall, I was surprised on how much I loved this entry, and I think I will keep an eye from now on on this serie

very good graphics and environment design, everything else is fine, not bad, but not amazing. fun to play through but definitely trailed off when they started trying to make me care about the story.

I finished this while I had COVID. Don’t play games while sick.
