Guys it's the last of us the movie game not that this is necessarily a bad or good thing but it is a good movie elevated to great by the immersion of interactivity

Absurdly overrated like all Naughty Dog games but definitely more deserving of its acclaim than the Uncharted series, the gameplay is more inspired by the likes of Resident Evil 4 than Gears of War so the combat always has a sense of urgency and survival, even though it's not exactly innovative. Joel and Ellie's relationship also feels realistic and one of the few examples of good writing in a video game.

I get the hype story wise, but I found the gameplay to be pretty boring apart from killing clickers and maneuvering around them. Ellie is one of my favorite “child/teenager” characters next to Nanako because she is extremely relatable and realistically written. Joel’s ending decision has a lot of nuance and potential consequences for the next game
The show was better executed IMO, not because the game is BAD but because I didn’t have to slog through walking around when most of the time I was talking to other characters.

É certo que muita gente acha que The Last of Us não é tudo isso que se propaga, já que a história em si e bastante simples: a redenção de Joel, enquanto atravessa a América com Ellie. Entretanto, essa história clichê em outras mídias, como literatura e cinema, é narrativamente poderosa, e extremamente bem aplicada aqui, especialmente considerando se tratar de um videogame.
Por tais razões, The Last of Us é um jogo que revoluciona pela forma como integra sua história ao gameplay, sem demandar obrigatoriedade na leitura de textos ou oitiva de áudios que expliquem o contexto daquele mundo, ou muito menos se utilizando de exposições longas para esclarecer a narrativa. As motivações dos personagens são construídas em tela, enquanto se joga; as transições entre gameplay e cutscenes são perfeitas e integradas, se complementando.
Além disso, o jogo é tecnicamente impressionante e tem gráficos lindos, extraindo o melhor do PS3, e passando tranquilamente como jogo da geração seguinte (PS4); seu gameplay não tem nada de revolucionário ou impressionante, mas é empregado com excelência, de forma que tudo aqui funciona muito bem.

In 2013 it was a revolution but now I appreciate it less and less with each replay.
forgot how good the online of this game was,sure there were some balancing issues,but the clan system that if you peformed badly you lose your progress give matches a lot more weight and seriousness,this aint no more we all win shit i was seriously getting mad and living matches like they were my last,and for some reason the base game mechanics just transitioned amazingly to online,it was a genuine joy to play this on the ps3 back in 2016,also there were loads guns,skills,clothes and other stuff,other bad thing is that i think it used to have some bad monetization but memory could be having me here
I think TLoU lacks depth in mechanics, the pacing is sometimes a little too slow, there is little to no enemy variety in the zombies and the level design feels uninspired. It’s an “almost masterpiece” for me.
That being said The Last of Us is a remarkable achievement in video games not only for its story but also for its ability to enhance the story by being a video game. I genuinely cared about these characters and by the end it was me who… I think I am getting ahead of myself… just play the game if you haven’t

Pinnacle of apocalypse games. One of my favourite games of all time, the characters, story, everything. Just amazing

Existem jogos que mudam a sua vida, para mim, The Last of Us foi esse jogo, existe o Cauã gamer antes e depois dessa obra prima, eu sempre digo que Super Mario World me fez começar a jogar e amar videogame, e The Last of Us me trouxa de volta após um período de dúvida, ele apresentou uma nova parte que eu nem tinha ideia que existia, os grandes jogos com focos narrativos. Eu devo ter jogado a versão de PlayStation 3 umas 3 vezes, e mais 3 na remasterização de PlayStation 4, fazendo dele o jogo que mais vezes terminei, e o mais dificil que até hoje platinei, quando o fiz na versão de PS4 em 2021. Tudo nesse jogo é brilhante, eu amo tudo, a narrativa, os personagens, os gráficos da 7° geração, a dublagem em português perfeita, até mesmo seu criticado multiplayer, que tive de jogar para conseguir a platina e acabei gostando.
P.S. Eu comprei The Last of Us após estar cansado de jogar jogos medianos, eu tava começando a questionar meu amor pelos videogames, então em toda lista de melhores jogos do PS3 que eu vi, lá estava ele, sempre em 1° lugar, por isso resolvi dar uma chance.

It's good, very moving. I enjoyed it. In retrospect it's pretty emotionally manipulative. You're 'supposed' to think Joel is the bad guy, but maybe it's Neil for putting us all in this position.
