Hot/Lukewarm Takes I have

Hot/Lukewarm takes I have about games. Might've mentioned some in reviews but doesn't hurt to put them here.

Subject to change

Fire Emblem Engage
Fire Emblem Engage
Take 1: The most fun FE game both story and gameplay-wise.

Take 2: Comparing this game to Three Houses is a bit unfair too Engage as the game isn't supposed to be taken seriously.

Take 3: I like the game's artstyle
Friday Night Funkin'
Friday Night Funkin'
Take 1: This game was and still kinda is over-hated just because younger people like it and because it was popular.

Take 2: While the music is unique and goes hard, the vocals can be quite annoying after awhile.
Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact
Take 1: (See Xenoblade 2 section)

Take 2: This is one of the most F2P-friendly games as you don't really need the new 5-star characters to get through most of the content. Hell, you're given free characters via events and playing the game.

Take 3: People who dislike this game are way more annoying than the people who like it.
Honkai Impact 3rd
Honkai Impact 3rd
Take 1: (Insert HSR Section About Fanbases Here)

Take 2: The story is a bit overrated as the early chapters don't explain anything and the game doesn't have english voice-over which leads to lots of reading text that makes things more complicated.
Honkai: Star Rail
Honkai: Star Rail
Take 1: Some people only think this game is better than Genshin because it's more generous and has more than one late-game content and nothing more.

Take 2: Kinda similar to the first take but, causing a war with the Genshin community doesn't make your game any better, it just makes everyone hate your game and the fanbase.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Take 1: This game kinda ruined how people perceive open world games as people compare any open world game to this one which is fair but, it gets really tiring after the thousandth time.
Mario Kart Wii
Mario Kart Wii
Take 1: The yellowish "filter" makes the game ugly to look at for prolonged periods.

Take 2: Wheelies were cool and should've been a core part of bikes. It just needs to be a bit more balanced.

Take 3: The item balancing nearly makes this game the worst game in the series.

Take 4: Funky Kong
Pokémon Scarlet
Pokémon Scarlet
Take 1: A really good Pokemon game despite the technical and graphical issues.
Pokémon Sword
Pokémon Sword
Take 1: The National Dex controversy was pretty dumb. I think National Dex works best as DLC since fans will most likely buy the DLC and the main game should have mostly original pokemon will some returning.
Sonic Frontiers
Sonic Frontiers
Take 1: Ian Flynn's writing is good.

Take 2: The references are fine. It helps to make the events in other games more beliveable.
Stellar Blade
Stellar Blade
Take 1: Better than Nier: Automata Gameplay-wise.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Take 1: Subspace is a tad overrated. Outside the cutscenes, it gets repetitive really quick and the less said about The Great Maze, the better.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Take 1: This game gets boring to watch since the game is dominated by the same 2 characters.

Take 2: If this game were to get a remake, people (mostly the comp. community) wouldn't like it because the game wouldn't feel the same and some obscure tech would be patched out.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Take 1: This is the best smash game generally.

Take 2: Byleth and Pyra/Mythra are fine inclusions.

Take 3: Steve is fun :)
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Take 1: The reputation this game has is unfair since this game has more too it than the first few chapters show. (This can be applied to any anime/anime-like game).
