This review contains spoilers

Not finished with my replay yet but just wanted to say rest in peace to Billy Kametz, the voice actor for one of the most interesting antagonists I have ever seen in any video game, Takuto Maruki.

Rest in peace, Doctor.

Voodoo is a piece of shit company. I don't even want to play games on my phone anymore. Their ads are awful, but one ad tops them all in how bad it is. It's not just cringeworthy, it's actually scummy; the caption was "If you beat this level, Etika will come back to life"

A game so good it singlehandedly ruined gaming

Persona 4 Golden was a great ass JRPG.

Now, before I start, let me get something clear: contrary to what people say, this game does indeed have a message, but I’ll get to that. Another thing I want to say is how surprisingly fun the combat was to me. Being a huge fan of Persona 5’s combat, I was a bit worried hearing what I had heard about the combat, but ended up having a lot of fun, being someone who loves games with combat that play like MegaTen or Pokemon. It plays like Persona 5 combat with hold ups acting different and without gun attacks.

Now, let’s get onto the story. I ended up really enjoying the story as someone who isn’t really into murder mysteries that aren’t Among Us. The setting of Inaba is great and made me feel like I was there the entire time. Now, the game does slog somewhat during the first 2-6 hours. However, if you persist and get through it, the game ends up delivering a great story with an amazing message

Not many people can see the message in the game, but because I watched a video by Nam’s Compendium entitled “Persona 4 Analysis - The Game That Changed My Life” (which is a great video you should watch: https://youtu.be/CujlchNaHNc ) I now see that the game has a great message.

We all have things we don’t like to admit about ourselves. Hell, even your sibling has something (s)he might not like to admit about him/herself. This game’s message about facing and accepting your inner self is very subtle and stuck with me and others.

Now let’s get onto the characters, and by saying that I want to say that this game has some of the best social links in the series ranging from Dojima and Nanako’s, about accepting death is one that will stick with me. Marie’s social link was somehow so good it made me like her. Some social links may be better than others, but there is not a single bad one. The characters themselves are also great (except Teddie). Dojima is a very well written character of whom you can feel his motivations to do everything he does. The main cast, the Investigation Team is also really well written. One of the game’s villains is also really well written, his motivation of thinking he was trying to save everyone but was only assisting the other villain.

Now, the soundtrack. I really cannot count the amount of great songs in this soundtrack. I could not name you a single bad song in this soundtrack. The Genesis is a fantastic final boss theme, even if it isn’t as good as Battle For Everyone’s Souls. Reach Out To The Truth and Time To Make History are both amazing battle themes. Even in daily life, the music is great with the shop theme being really fucken good. But the best theme from this part of the game has to be “Snowflakes”. It perfectly encapsulates the winter and the fact my aircon was set to the lowest possible temperature made it even better.

Overall, goddamn what a fucking video game. Alright time to play Persona 3 I guess.

breathes in Hoo boy, looks like the second wave of Dread Warfare is coming.

I'm gonna do an experiment, reply to this review with a quote from the fandub.

I'll start.

"WHAT THE FUCK, IS THAT SHADOW'S DICK?

Hot take: I don't mind the amount of dialogue.
