The experience with this game was the opposite of the one with the prequel. Innocence immediately dragged me in the story, then slowly lost me, to the point where the last third of the game left me deeply unsatisfied. With this, it was the exact opposite. The game starts with a series of fetch quests that were quickly losing me, then the second half of the plot starts, and that was incredible. From chapter VIII onwards, it never lost me, in a crescendo of emotions that culminated in one of the best finales I could have hoped for. I know it was divisive and that it left many unsatisfied, but the only thing I could do was staring at the credits, looking at the Sun rising, in silence, contemplating.

Edit: Also the OST is the best thing ever ofc. Deriviere did such a good job it's hard to put into words, but if you can give a look to the composes walkthrough he has on his Youtube channel. It's worth it.

The OST is literally perfect for the gameplay.

I lost interest quite quickly.

Started to lose a bit on the story side, still a great conclusion to Ezio and Altair's sagas.

Peak of the series on all levels.

A literal fist fight with the pope.

Don't do it, really, don't play this.

Actually played on Ubuntu
The first part is excellent, then it slowly becomes worse. Still not bad, so overall great game. The soundtrack is a banger.
I'm kind of unhappy about this game, because it had so much potential, and it really showed, but then it almost let go. I really hope they improve in the sequel, even though I'm not that hopeful.

I did a 2nd playthrough in french, and it was much more immersive. I kinda liked it a bit more.

Still can't believe how good it feels on console.
