My first ever casstlevania game, it isn't that good nor that bad i would say it served its purpose, the writing is nothing out of the ordinary, although being dracula instead of fighting him is kind of refreshing, but at the end is just a mediocre game, in spite of all of that it still holds a very special place in my heart, this edgy little game is the reason i play castlevania, and i don't know what to think about that, still, play it if you haven't, is one of the best games for the gameboy advance so you will be missing out if you don't check it out.

Ok, so, I know this is kind of controversial, but I really kind of like DMC 1, like for being one of the staples of hack and slash games, it holds itself surprisingly well, maybe the bad parts about DMC combat's are the camera angles and the lack of variety in weapons, it's certainly not perfect, but I still liked it, fuck the Mundus' fight and water level controls though; I also loved Dante's personality in this game, it has the cheesy lines we all love and some seriousness to it, I like the rockstar Dante too, but I got kind of bored of him; story wise it's not too far apart for what a DMC is generally, so no point on try to defend it. The voice acting while being goofy and all I kinda liked it, DMC is all about having goofy lines so goofy line delivery complements it, overall DMC was a blast and it still holds up to this day
