PCE Stuff Worth Playing

Made this for Vee.

Best toku game ever. Also has nothing to do with the tokusatsu it was licensed based on. The thunder and wave weapons are extremely fun to murk bosses with and the pacing is extremely fast despite how long the game is. Not for the faint of heart shmup players.
Not that much new content over vanilla 93 but this is the version to play anyway. Not one of the better Bombermans imo but still
It's ok ig but Super sweeps
I don't have that much to say about these but every Bonk game really is worth playing just for the sake of experiencing the mascot platformer of the system.
The go-to PCE game everybody talks about. Not my absolute favourite but the anime style in this game really is the peak of PCE cutscenes and creates a memorable experience. Maria is an absolute blast to play as for how tight her controls are and the music in this game is hella rad.
The SNES one is better and more manageable but this is the most pure Cotton experience, I would say.
Pinball is so cool I wish devils were real.
That was certainly a video game. IDK, I played it for easter and didn't feel like I wasted my time.
Peak Galaga. It's like Galaga 88 but with actual balancing. The triple ship and bonus levels are unforgettable.
Copyright loses all meaning here. The Terminator, Spider-Man, King Kong, Michael Jackson all live in the same world here cus why not? Photographing everything in the game is very addictive. The difficulty curve is kinda funny since only levels 5 and 6 are really tough. Be warned it's very insensitive of a game.
Solid contender for the best game on the system. It's very Fantasy Zone inspired with the shop system and cute em up elements like snowmen bosses or pumpkin shopkeepers, but significantly easier. Unlike other shmups, routing this one is based around collecting money and appeals to the JRPGer's brain a fair deal more than others. Also has infinite continues. A great beginner's 1cc due to the health bar and item systems.
This shit sucks but it's funny to laugh at.
Far and away the best version of Pac-Land due to its infinite continues, new cartoon sequences, better flight, and removal of objects that block the player's view.
This is fucking rough.
I play this game at least once a year, it's insanely replayable for a variety of factors. The first is the interesting level branches, the second is the short length, and the third is the fact it's by far one of the most fair arcade beat em ups ever. The memorable western horror inspired setpieces and scenes from the arcade are all here, but you get to play as a red masked dude here instead of a Jason Voorhees wannabe.
Konami's answer to Parodius except Konami owns it too now
Anyway you can play as Mecha Bomberman and he's hilariously OP. A funny as hell beginner's shmup I can't rec enough.
One of the most flawed but interesting ports. Has a new screen, new level, anime FMVs, and redbook audio but unfortunately fucked up the hitboxes a fair deal and is much harder. Only for the diehards, tbh.
Quite possibly the best game on the system. The difficulty balance is just right relative to other Ys versions for the most part. The sheer amount of detail is insane, almost every single enemy has a unique interaction with aminal Adol. The combat is more or less as simple as it gets but seeing how the foundation was laid for the ARPG genre is still stunning and it has shockingly ahead of its time audio design. Every voice actor went on to be a big deal or was one before being cast which is insane; Winnie the Pooh, Bumblebee, Jimmy Neutron and so forth are all here. Michael Bell really steals the show as Dark Fact despite only having one scene too. But perhaps the main reason to play it? The redbook remixes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSJeWCz2cXo
This game is actually fucking amazing and seems to get a bad reputation just cus everybody played the shitty SNES and Genesis ports instead???? The enemies are much more manageable here due to the better physics and animations. Not to mention the fully voice acted cutscenes and soundtrack really help it stand out. The voice acting isn't as good as I & II's but it's instead unintentionally hilarious now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xfhjrjc51zE&start=4
Lil B voice Classic
Never finished it
