Basically a stand in for the whole series, seeing as strive has most of it's music. From the xrd/strive hype as shit vocal tracks to XX's wonderful, wonderful soundtrack, Guilty gear takes the cake.

Just vanillaware in general, honestly. Muramasa is probably their best work but there's not that much between it, 13 sentinels, dragons crown and odin sphere.

What could I say that hasn't been before. Both the very last moments of the game and the whole sequence leading up to it are a perfect capstone on what's come before it, and are truly, truly special.

Favourite boss fight
Ms Garra is basically the perfect danmaku boss fight, a boss fight so fucking good it basically birthed a whole subgenre. Hard as shit but amazing.

It wasn't one i initially played much myself, but my family fully got caught up in the FF7 mania of the late 90s, and some of my most vivid gaming memories are me and my sisters sitting on our parent's bed, watching my Dad slowly, but surely, get through final fantasy VII, and later, FFX.

Stressful game
Honestly, i can kinda vibe with this one too thanks to impeccable aesthetic and music, but Garegga is also a eldrich nightmare of an STG. Also was close in contention for best ending.
Dragon blaze and other fast-bullet shmups are in close contention for this.

Frankly, i've killed the R6S bug now, but for a long time i put an embarassing amount of hours into it. It's a good game, but i'm also kinda trying to be done with long-form multiplayer stuff with no end like this these days.
