Its pretty good all around.
I don't mind its weaker than the first one cause well, following up that game is quite the ordeal.
Level design is more hit or miss, and maverick roster is kinda forgettable, but I can replay this.

Getting to the true final boss is ass, but otherwise this is pretty fun.
Copy abilities with animal buddies is very fun to experiment, and its not trying to be anything special, so it lands on being charming and very fun.

Playing Returns first may have made me be kinda more critical of it than if I didn't play that one first.
But this is still so fun to play, and its flow is great, level design is awesome, and so are the bosses.
Music is also a highlight here as well.

X is made out of glass, and the mavericks can be annoying, but going through the levels is still fun idc.
Zero is a thing, but uh, prototype for the next one.
Its issues doesn't bother me that much, but could've been better.

This is the coziest game I've ever played.
Nothing like it helps calm so much and get good vibes, specially from the graphics.

And yeah, its REALLY janky, but in a very funny and charming way.
Start of a series I love, and even then its incredible and has aged very well.
