Absolutely Perfect game. The best visual presentation and direction I have seen in a long ass time, fantastic writing. Love it to death.

On the eve of the first grasshopper direct, I'm here to note down that this is one of the most beautiful, meaningful games I've ever played. Carefully crafted to put yourself in the shoes of someone refusing to acknowledge their past and refusing to let go of it simultaneously, flower sun and run presents as one of the best narrative experiences one could have in a modern era. I hope for a remake announcement no matter how foolish it may be, despite suda himself showing interest. Here's to finding that paradise, that way out, to kill our past.

Wonderful sequel, the books can be very hard to read at time but the story is very compelling. The puzzles are much more unique feeling here, probably just less copying of the riven stuff vs the myst stuff posthumously. Delightful :)

2020

Wonderful video game, played realmyst for the rime age after completing the 2020 remake :)

Man, a lot wrong here, game was buggy as hell and one puzzle on multiple occasions required I hit the "teleport somewhere safe" button because it just outright broke. The story is very very mid, guessed the twist from the first hours, not well written during and awkwardly voice acted. The world is beautiful but then you get with the ai generated shit and go "hmmmmmm" and move on. Just meh, not great, not the worst, just meh

Update: Just learned via reading the credits "we used AI content!" speel, the voice acting is apparently entirely AI which fully explains why it sucked ass huh! Fucking god damn (review was original 2 stars)

Despite having a lot of solid ideas, and a beautiful art style, and a lot of things going for it; The game is so unpolished and unrefined that I couldn't help but fucking hate more than 2/3rds of the time I spent with it. Poorly plotted puzzles, awkward kb+m controls, clunky awkward writing, I just did not enjoy anything past the first hour.

I just, genuinely think this is a perfect game, or in a way Was given that some bits didnt age well, but it's perfect aside from that.

Really wonderful to play with loved ones.

Shotgunned a lot of media about death and accepting death in a row, this one was charming though I cared more for the puzzles than the story tbh

Just really really fun with friends or loved ones

I gotta say, I loved it, a lot, and was awfully confused by the hate, that's all.

Yeah just don't even fucking bother.

I just think it's funny they introduced a canonically nb character on screen before FFXIV, a game with a famously predominate queer fanbase, got an even remotely canon queer rep. But also the story is good and the gameplay is fun and the world is so fucking beautiful.
