adore this game. one of my favorites along with tales of destiny. the characters and the story were really fucking good and gameplay was fun as usual.
the pacing kind of dragged at the end but that's honestly my only issue with this game.
the bonus scenes and different endings really make it feel like lloyd's actions amount to something as well. i loved seeing the different things you could learn about the characters. presea, colette, and sheena were my favorites, and the bonus scenes really made me like kratos and zelos as well.
for the love of god please do not play the pc ver.

one of the games of all time
while i can't say it's my favorite RGG story, it 100% has my favorite cast. it's incredibly balanced, the characters bounce well off each other, and seeing them interact was a blast.
also my favorite take on combat thus far, yagami's fighting styles were so fun i can see myself going back and brawling against random encounters
incredible soundtrack as always, LOVE the newer composers getting to shine more.

extremely overhyped. play literally any other visual novel.
ive always been curious about this game as i've talked with people who loved it, and people who hated it. but this is. not very good.
and cool concept goes completely wasted in this VN, and MC and saya become so insufferable that i was looking forward to every POV switch, which i think were actually pretty good.
the gratuitous use of rape for shock value, and the excess amount of sex scenes made me stare blankly at the screen for their entire duration.
the breaking point for me was when some pretty good dialogue was delivered in another POV, at MC, only for it to switch back to MC's POV and he was getting a blowjob through the duration of the call. i almost burst a blood vessel.
i liked ryoko and koji. the soundtrack was very good. not giving this a rating. my curiosity was sated but those are hours im never getting back <3

incredibly satisfying controls and level design, i could skate around the stages for hours (and probably will). phenomenal soundtrack and character design.

it was a video game.
it tried to do a lot of different things, but that ended up making the story feel bloated and have very odd pacing. i already knew what to expect regarding haruka's role in the story but it still disappoints. forgettable final boss.

i never manage to get into open-world games so this took me years to complete, and i don't think i'll ever replay it. i prefer shorter, more story focused zelda games like twilight princess and majora's mask, which i do see myself replaying.

peak camp. second favorite yakuza game so far after yakuza 0, easy. docked points for akiyama/haruka's part of the story, but every story aside from that is phenomenal. very silly story in a very good way, i just wish haruka had more agency.

i love this specific genre of video games so much. the cast is fantastic, the soundtrack is great. the story falls a bit flat at the end but eh

the story falls flat on it's face once but other than i had a blast. rikiya and mine are incredible characters and i would play this game again just for them.
also i love my kids. among my favorite RGG games for sure
big gripe i have with it is the combat, though not because of the blocking, but because of how fucking hard it was for me to hit downed enemies.
