this is literally my favorite game of all time 100/10

after being burned so badly by the non shu takumi 3DS titles, this game reminded me why i love the ace attorney series so much. this is the best title in the series in a really long time, i adore it.
i've re-played it twice, and i'll start my third playthrough sometime through. the use of foreshadowing is incredible and i definitely recommend playing it more than once to see why.
asougi kazuma is one of my favorite characters of all time. herlock sholmes as well, his appearances always lightened the mood perfectly.
the soundtrack is also incredible.

mid mobile game at the start with pure kinography for an ending. gameplay is shit but got DAMN if the story near the end didnt have me screaming every 5 minutes. the baldr twist was so fucking cool. nomura continues to deliver peak fiction.

rating: 11 dead kids / 10

An incredible game held together by pins and duck tape. Huge props to the unofficial patch for making this playable.
The world design, music, characters, and writing are all incredible.
Would give this a perfect score if not for the Fourth Area and Final Act sort of shitting themselves and reminding you that this is a game from 2004 in the former, and throwing the most dogshit combat segments at you in the latter.

managed to scratch an itch i've had since silent hill 4.

PERFECTLY stands on its on two feet without falling back on referencing other survival horror games. incredible environmental story-telling, and a narrative that does not underestimate the player. instant classic, and a game that i will be thinking about for the rest of my life.

please play this game

PEAK camp

the story falls flat on it's face once but other than i had a blast. rikiya and mine are incredible characters and i would play this game again just for them.
also i love my kids. among my favorite RGG games for sure

big gripe i have with it is the combat, though not because of the blocking, but because of how fucking hard it was for me to hit downed enemies.

huge contender for my GOTY 2023

i love this specific genre of video games so much. the cast is fantastic, the soundtrack is great. the story falls a bit flat at the end but eh

this feels like a gamecube game in the best way possible. i adore this game to bits, wasn't a single moment where i wasn't having fun

absolutely beautiful metroidvania game. the music, the enemy design, the backgrounds, all fantastic.

had fun the whole way through!

oh my fucking god we're BACK BABY

PURE UNADULTERATED KINO. THE AMOUNT OF SOUL IN THIS GAME

fun combat system that sets it apart from other JRPGs of its time. the story is carried by the nice character interactions and skit system. i had a good time :)

peak camp. second favorite yakuza game so far after yakuza 0, easy. docked points for akiyama/haruka's part of the story, but every story aside from that is phenomenal. very silly story in a very good way, i just wish haruka had more agency.

shinada has become my favorite character in this series and i don't see that changing anytime soon.

greatest april fool's bit ever. everyone else go home.

very cute and fun game. min ho kim's art is a delight and the writing was incredibly charming. i loved everyone's outfits sooo much.

amazing game! just, not for me.
i never manage to get into open-world games so this took me years to complete, and i don't think i'll ever replay it. i prefer shorter, more story focused zelda games like twilight princess and majora's mask, which i do see myself replaying.
