This is such a cool game. I wish it was good.

Like, there are so many banger moments and I love the surreal vibe, but the archaic inventory management, scattershot storyline, and Super Paper Mario tier level design holds it back significantly.

Still, the surreal nature, endearing main cast, and the absolutely bonkers battle system keep this game in the green for me.

The normal puzzles are simple yet fun, but the minigames in between them range from time wasting to incredibly annoying.

This game gives you so many combat options and they're all super fun. Wacky story. Good time overall

The combat in this game is so freaking fun. Its unique as far as character action games go because it's less about stringing fancy combos together and more about using the environment to your advantage: kicking enemies down stairs, spilling liquid on the ground for enemies to slip on, ect.

It's such an innovative concept and I wish more games would do it, because it's really fun here. Unfortunately the game is a bit short, but it makes the most of that time with great fights, some fun, but easy platforming challenges, and an enjoyably silly tone throughout.

Don't play the Switch version. It's a solid 3D platformer so long as you don't play the switch version.

Beautiful levels and really fun level design. Really encapulates "short and sweet"

The gameplay is fun on its own and Talia is such a fun character that she really brings the whole thing together. ]] Who doesn't want to help an evil AI destroy humanity?

The gameplay starts off, but good gets kind of repetitive after a while, but the story makes it worth it. It starts off simple but intriguing with trying to figure out how all of these stories fit together. However, as you get further, it becomes increasingly clear what's going on. It's beautifully tragic and the ending makes everything feel worth it.

The best, most addictive deckbuilder I've played. It's fast paced, gives you plenty of options, and is really fun all around. Most roguelikes I have to stop after losing because it's so demoralizing. But here, runs move so fast I'm always down for one more.

There is so much good in this game. The visuals are beautiful, the character designs are phenomenally expressive, the music is really nice and always fits the mood.

This game combines business management, deckbuilding, and persona style social link mechanics, and they mostly work to enhance each other. All of the characters are really endearing, and each one adds a fun new layer to running your business.

The haggling mechanic is a lot of fun too. It plays out as a deckbuilder and you get new cards from bonding with your friends. This is the game that got me into deckbuilders and I can't thank it enough for that.

That being said, there are a few major issues. For one, this game is way too freaking long. It took me 30 hours to beat, and that was 10-15 to many. The gameplay is great, but you will be sick of it by the time the credits roll. It was not meant to last this long. Also, the potion making mechanic isn't the best either.

Don't get me wrong, it's fun, but it's easily the least interesting part of the game, and it's the one you'll be doing the most because every other mechanic like the social bonding and haggling can be skipped, but you need to make the potions manually.

If you want my advice, play up to the third tournemant. After that, the game doesn't get bad, but you're gonna get tired of it.

I generally really don't like the 2D Mario formula. Even here, the core moveset is good, but not something I can get lost in.

That being said, this game is fantastic. Every level has a distinct identity and most of them are a lot of fun. The badges, while I didn't use them a ton, were still fun, and the campaign is roughly the perfect length. Highly recommend.

So, you know that feeling where you get a huge meal and the food is amazing, but it's also way too much but since it's so good you can't stop yourself, so you keep going even when you feel bloated and miserable and are left with a sense of regret, feeling like you wasted something great by overindulging to the point of making it miserable for you? That's what playing this game is like.

I know this seems like a self control issue, but I don't get like this with most other games. It's a perfect 10/10 otherwise

Has the core gameplay that makes Pikmin fun, as well as a lot of cool additions that had a lot of potential, but sadly it's weighed down by the caves.

These things are fun for like 2-3 floors at a time, but aside from the tutorial cave, they're 5 floors at least and can go up to 15. So, instead of these things giving you a break from the time management, they completely overshadow it and make it so you're only spending 20% of the game doing the thing pikmin is known for. Most of them aren't terrible, but they severely overstay their welcome

When I was young, this game made me develop a weird complex surrounding the games I play. I played through it roughly five times and every time I remember the game being cool, but I don't remember having fun with it. So for a while I thought that I only enjoyed games after playing them, and playing them was something I just had to force myself to do.

Of course, that was complete bullshit, and years later I can see why. This game has a neat concept, great atmosphere, and a phenomenal soundtrack, but the gameplay just isn't good. The controls and level design are as bog standard as they come. They're not outright bad, but they're not fun either. Aside from the later levels, which are legit awful. Also, this game can be pretty damn janky at times, the camera sucks, and while the premise is cool, the story isn't nearly as good as you would expect.

The 2d segments were pretty fun though. Unironically the best parts of the game. Aside from the ones you have to do over and over again because they connect the towns

This game gives me serious Carpal Tunnel, but it's sooo goood
