solid remake, not so solid or interesting story compared to the rest of the series. still decent though

they were up on the ruff
phenomenal remake, fantastic story, one of the best in the series. not PERFECT, but definitely not lackluster

quite literally one of the most fitting and perfect endings for my babyboo

a staple of the roguelike genre. its a pillar of the genre, laying the foundation of an amazing roguelike, quite literally being the benchmark roguelike game that others get compared to.

keep an eye out for the birds

platform fighters get compared to this for a reason

the turnbase was a bit of a jump, but nothing that couldnt have been overcome. new protagonists are cool, but there are so many aspects in the story that are shoe-nailed in for convenience sake (and some that are just outright garbage), ruining whatever perfect track record this game could have had

albeit short, this game manages to blow the player away with the best yakuza scene and ending of all time. if it were at least a little longer to give the game the opportunity to further add to the story, it wouldve easily blown the other games out of the water.

has a lot more content by bringing us workshop and multiplayer. that said, its still pretty nice

quire literally the best roguelike game youll ever have the pleasure of playing. the replayability with artifacts, unlockable survivors, and mod support will allow this game to stand the test of time and thrive to be the best roguelike ever
