While it's a breathtaking and well made Tactical RPG the complexity of the combat systems is a bit overwhelming for me. Personally I cannot keep track of what units counter what, when to upgrade weapons and armor, where to get things, etc. Feels like I'm failing a statistics class. Great game for what I was able to push through though.

Whew what a ride! It will definitely go down as the most divisive part of the Remake trilogy. If you're not on board with this one you probably won't be on board for the next one. There are definitely pacing issues. Every time you turn around there's a mini-game. A lot of them are not very well thought out mechanically and tying the platinum to them was a choice for sure. That being said there's a lot to love here and some of that same magic from Remake is here in spades. We focus primarily on the characters throughout Rebirth and God do I love these weirdos. It took a while to get back into the swing of things but the combat is so good. Dynamic mode is a bit of a mixed bag as some fights are a breeze and some fights will beat your ass. All in all I enjoyed myself and I can't wait to see where exactly this story is going.

In no way, shape, or form is this a good introduction to the lore of GranBlue. The basics are there but honestly, without playing the mobile game, there's no real good way to get the lore of GBF as the wiki is also terrible. HOWEVER, this is still a very fun game. The main draw is the combat which is really fun. The late game raids can get a little annoying but it's so addictive. Everything is very FFXIV-lite, mechanic wise. Overall, I'm still enjoying it. #SkyStrokers

I really wanted to like this game. I gave it as many chances as I could thinking maybe something would clock for me later on but it just never did. The characters are flat, the story is middling, and while the combat is somewhat fun it's not enough the salvage the game as a whole. Overall it's....okay, but not good enough to keep my attention.

I really wanted to like this one. I really tried but nah. This series just ain't got the juice in it for me anymore.

Man I had a blast getting through this one after putting it off for a while.

Caught this on sale, as you should, and even with that I don't know what the fuck I was thinking. I knew it'd be bad but YEESH.

You know, there's probably a good game in here somewhere but I'll be damned if I'm not bored out of my skull trying to find it.

Along with the 2.0 update, easily one of the best things released this year. A much more contained and cinematic experience. The new endings and gigs really add a new depth. Hope we see a similar approach in whatever we get next from CDPR. Can't wait to get back to Night City.

Boy am I glad I didn't pay any money for this campaign. Yeesh.

Impressive. Creative. Imaginative. Terrifying. Astounding. Hilarious. Musical. Challenging.
No Notes.

I don't know why I thought this was scary when I was younger. PAINFULLY from the 360 era and very annoying. I'm good.

Much like the first it takes its time setting up the story. It's a little mundane at first but when it really gets going it's fantastic. Not as many cameos as the first but it makes up for it with pure melodrama. An interesting take on the skills and gadgets but altogether a great sequel.

Amazing. Incredible. Middling. Technically frustrating.
So, this game is a buggy mess, especially in Act 3. Dialogue that doesn't trigger. Broken quests. Non-existent audio. Again, it's a bit of a mess. However, the journey, the characters, the different ways to tackle fights, the exploration. It's all top-tier. I barely scratched the surface of depth this game offers. Narratively I'm a little disappointed with how certain characters' journeys end. The "good" ending feels a little ultimately hopeless for a lot of them in my opinion. Overall it's a solid experience and managed to pull a good 90 hours out of a first playthrough. Guess I'll stick around for Divinity: Original Sin 3.
