Sights 'n Sounds: Better than Art

I've seen several making these lists and I won't stay out of the party, here's a list of 10 games that I consider historically important, influential or demonstrate unparalleled passion in the video game industry.
As I play new games I will update this list, credits to sam_gray who inspired me to make this list and MagneticBurn for the name of this list.

Genre: RPG

In every heart the seed of dark abides. The makings of a lord when watered well... With hate. Sweet hate. She springs eternal. Sings... All-tempting draught. We'll drink of her again.

Unforgettable RPG with one of the best plot twist I've ever seen in history, is a unique and unrepeatable experience that speaks of human nature, heroism and hope, you must give it a try.

More than just a simple puzzle.

The blood that flows in my veins is cursed. T'would be best for this world if I were to disappear forever.
One of the most important games, as it redefined the genre created by Metroid taking it to what we see today (Metroidvania), one of the most aesthetically pleasing games of the PS1 thanks to its pixel art.
It broke away from the early 3D trend to refine the 2D formula and create a timeless classic, which lasts much better than most of its contemporaries on Playstation/N64.

Dojo, casino...it's all in the mind...
Yeah, that's right! My guitar's in my mind!

NanaOn-Sha made the first rhythm game, without it there would not have been masterpieces like Osu! Tatakae Ouendan or Gitaroo Man, so influential for its visual style and rhythms, was the one who made the popularity that today of this genre.

Genre: RPG

Persuaded by the fallen angel, you destroyed the seeds of creation, denying the reincarnation of the world. With the cold heart of a demon, you rejected the possibility of evolution. By casting aside your humanity, you became the living incarnation of bane itself.

Without SMT there would have been no Pokémon or any of the other monster catching games and it has also influenced with its morality system. It has the best combat system in my opinion of the turn-based genre and one of the best atmospheres and aesthetic marvel of the PS2 era.

Can't you accept sorrow at all...?

This incredible duology that taught me that even this genre can tell great stories. People may say that platform games tend to be generic or even childish stories, being the opposite of what franchises like Klonoa do, a franchise that gives us an unforgettable platforming experience by being a mix of 2d with 3d environments, with a mature story with one of the most exciting endings that no other platform game has achieved.

UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF LOVE!

I didn't understand what a game with soul was until I played this one, I had never seen a game with so much style, personality and passion. Not to forget the soundtrack which is one of the best in video games, Sega's Magnum Opus.

When passion defines your video game.

The favorite work of Yukio Futatsugi, he worked on the well-known Panzer Dragoon, took board card games to another level with an immersive 3D world. Remembered by all who had the opportunity to play it, so many stories told by its developers or people inside Xbox and players. I will talk in more depth about this game when I have replayed it.
