class building / combinations 💯💯

easy to play - good for fans of progression. pretty simple overall / repetitive, perfect for handheld gaming

Very solid tactics gameplay, however extremely mid story and presentation

gameplay is some of the best Tales has seen so far, however the story and characters turned me off more so than other Tales games. Made it right to the SPOILERS false ending, lost interest after.

obtained blue rose
map completion 95%

scratched my symphony of the night itch, however, I did not enjoy all aspects of the game. some characters looked off visually (zangetsu) and a few boss battles felt like cheap experiences.

overall would have loved if they went with a pixel based graphic style, and cleaned up / honed in boss battle experiences.

someone called this 'Sonic Adventure 3' and honestly it's basically what everyone wanted gameplay wise from the next installment in the SA series. (Minus Chao Garden)

very depressing game (said positively) with strange systems and unexpected difficulty spikes.

overall p average YS game especially for one before Ys 7.

story was very straightforward but got interesting at the last dungeon. overall the best part was seeing Dogi's hometown

Difficulty spike post chapter 2 - however most victories can be obtained through strategy over grinded levels.

feels like Dark Souls 1-2

some bosses and pacing were annoying.
