Silent Hill 2 creates a beautiful and awe-inspiring world out of rust, decay, and soundscapes. It drew me in, captivated me and urged me to continue exploring its grimy halls and bloody streets. My three play sessions went long into the night. What fascinated me most about this game was the use of sound. Sounds dominated my experience and I would often react to those more than the visuals. There were many, many points where I would stop somewhere and just listen to the incredible cacophony and revel in it.

The huge variety of sounds and how they are triggered in the game has me concerned about the upcoming remake. Are they really going to put in the attention to detail to capture that same feeling? Does a game like this need to be remade in the first place when it's basically perfection? It's a shame that something like 'artistic expression' is seen as something that needs to be updated and re-sold for modern audiences.
I only bring this up because Silent Hill 2 isn't just a game. It's Art.

Not a lot stood out to me, felt like more of the same.

This game feels really good on several particular courses. The pocket bikes are crazy. If you play on Hard you really have to memorize exactly when you should Boost on every track... I think. Solid game

Pretty fun game with a solid variety of puzzles. The dialogue is pretty good too, made me laugh often. Compared the The Awakened, this game has a more wholesome atmosphere and the puzzles are not as obtuse.

Very pretty race tracks, fun racing too. Being able to customize the cars statistics can get you a really overpowered car though.

A barebones WWII third/first person shooter that seems to be going for something tactical but I think the draw distance gets in the way. It's a very short distance to the all encompassing fog and most enemy encounters are you staring at the fog waiting for the silhouette of an enemy to appear. It's very possible that I did not understand how to play the game though, as I had to turn it down to easy to make any progress.

Really fun game all the way through. Creative puzzles and charming dialogue, great graphics and catchy soundtrack. Nintendo did not milk it into becoming a 35 year long franchise, and that's a good thing, but it should have gotten a release everywhere! The game deserves it.

I really like the challenge this game provides. It can be incredibly frustrating but it forced me to learn so many intricate details about how gen 1 mechanics work that I have to admire it. This game pulls no punches. But maybe it's easier if you import your own pokemon? I just used rentals. Either way, lots of fun.

Alan wake repeatedly does a bunch of errands for several women until the errands do themselves. You cannot drive a car.

A neat little Game boy shmup that lets you jump between two layers. If you press select on the title screen, you can choose between three playable ships. This just alters where your powered up shots go though. I like that it uses a health bar instead of lives because you can take different amounts of damage, and recover health from one of the powerups. It does run into the sprite limits on the game boy though, and occasionally something important might turn invisible. It also features two anime girls so this is a must play.

Fun and neat game, for short you could say it was a feet game. I liked using light in different ways and the story was pretty interesting. I actually wish the driving segments were longer for some reason.

I like this game more then Balloon Fight

I have never played the TCG despite having tons of the cards as a kid, so I learned how to play through this game. I wasn't all that impressed with it. I don't really understand the obsession with using coin flips for almost every move. It seems like the pace is often dictated by your opening hand. The outcome of a fight was either an easy win or quick loss, and most of the time it sided on the easy win. There was just one close fight I had near the end of the game that was pretty fun. The presentation was good, but no world to explore left it feeling like a small game compared to other pokemon games.

Memorable and remarkably ahead of it's time. A lot of time is spent wandering around figuring out where you can go after you get a key. I think the world is too big and there's not an easy way to know when you can open one of the hundreds of doors. But once you get far enough into the game it narrows out and is a lot of fun. I was really charmed by the dramatic flair and humor. VRAM 01K

This is very similar to the first game so it wasn't very exciting. The new mini-games are not as fun as the first one and the collectables you need to get the good ending are invisible so you have to do a lot of poking around. At least you can still get your dog to pee on telephone poles.
