Hotline Miami is an excellent top down shooter with an addictive gameplay loop. You receive tasks from your answering machine, basically telling you to kill Russians. There are many ways to kill Russians. Shoot them, stab them, whack them and smash their skulls, just to name a few.

However what Hotline Miami does best is question the players own morals. It doesn't pull any punches to tell you how much of a bad person you are for enjoying the game. For example at the start and during a level catchy synthase music plays. Although once you finish the stage the music cuts out, instead it plays a very ominous track. It gets worse since you need to walk past all the bloody and mutilated bodies until you get back to your car. The end of a level always brings you back to reality.
