Bad news guys/silly

I think… I got a little too into Ring Racers; no, it definitively won't break into the "the Games of All Time" list, but like, it certainly is a spectacle. I think I got on and off of this game so much, that I just- play it, without any hesitation. Definitively a "world gone mad" moment regarding my relationship with this game. Tho some tracks doo need some slight retouching, I guess.

3/5, defintively an accquired taste.

BTW; Battlemode ROCKS and time trial is obscenely fun.

This is one of the few mobile games I always came back to, or at least… it… was. I'm sorry, if it wasn't for the game's current state, this would've been a 5/5 instsntly, but as a long-time player, I just— can't. While I DO think the removal of the gacha was a welcome addition in my honest opinion, making Cookies and Pets less stressful to level up… the bigger picture down the line was, well, where do I start. With the recent focus on Legendary material, (THREE legendary buffs this Season, THREE.) which may or may nor mark the slightly-yet-noticeable shift towards more p2w content for some, the often-unnecessary UI updates, the abandoning of old content, and QoL changes that people reach out for, and are yet to arrive… (esp. for things like the Costume Gacha & Surprise Bears), and I could go on but like, it's starting to feel like it's just— not worth it. It'll take a while to find a game that'll bring me the same joy as this one used to. But I wholeheartedly think it's time for me to bid farewell to this game.

Verdict: 2.5/5, this game honestly used to be better but… yeah.

Look, this game is fun, yes; it looks cool, it sounds great, the stories are fun to read, and the character designs are top-notch. But it gets more and more p2w the longer you go on, ESPECIALLY now with the new Beascuits addition and the like (and the Tower's back but now it's unforgivingly difficult! Even for Tray 1? What's this? One of the recommended Cookies is the recently-released legend? GEE willy whiskers, I wonder what that entails!)

I have inmense stockholm syndrome with this game but like, I gotta drop it sooner or later. 3/5: One of those games where it looks super nice but the gameplay is commendable at best.

Wow, this game is really, REALLY funny, I can't look at it with a straight face, and I mean it positively— among the simple yet challenging gameplay, colorful visuals, the zany characters and the head-boppin' tunes, I've been hooked on a feeling with this game! I'd totally recommend for anyone who's like, looking for a rhythm game to play in an "in the moment" type-beat. Also BIG is a REALLY good song you guys have no ide—

OK, I got to play the game, I played two cups and a half. Well, in reality it was the first cup and the 2nd cup up, up until the last track…

VERRRDICT!

Alright girls n' boys, I'm… not… gonna sugarcoat it. This game blows, like, not in a super good way or super bad way, it still has me stirred but, now having played it, I may be a bit less stirred. I like how the initial setup looks like, but the tutorial is STILL absurdly long, 45 minutes minimum, how? No idea, but it's there. It can be skipped with the "Let's see you do it, hotshot"-type race and I find that annoying, or thru an obscure code, like Online and Addons. And I still find the idea of locking Time Trials, a kart-racing essential, downright abysmal!

As for the REAL game? It's a mess. A sort of lovable mess, I can't really hate it, but it's maddening, to a degree. I think the problem is that there's too much going on in a race.

You've got the track and your opponents to take care of, you've got the roulettes to take care of, you've got THE ENVIRONMENTAL DANGERS to take care of… putting it midly?, It's sensory overload. And there's too many mechanics to boot, same for the controls; too many buttons… for a Kart racer. A type of game where you can just— get up and go race at a few clicks.

And then there's the race AI too, who is very much happy to rubberband at a moment's notice and get spiteful if you as much as win 2 races in first, which is CRAZY and almost feels like some of your wins are unwarranted and come down to pure luck. So at times, the game can feel downright punishing if you do the slight miscalculation of drifting at the wrong angle.

The unlock system is another whole can of beans; did you know the rewards in the challenge grid, while "set", are truly random? Your neighbour's build might have Metal Knuckles on the top row, but yours may have a Chaos Drive Follower on the top row, so there's no clear "unlock path" which can lead to some truly "Guide Dang It" moments. And the requirements get crazier as you go on, too! An unlock chain can go on for MILES across several Unlocks. It reminds me a bit of those convoluted urban legends of yore, and that's fine! I find that funny too, but it becomes unfunny at some point.

All in all, this gane is NOT for everyone, and it shows. It can feel beginner-unfriendly, it can be messy and some tracks can be overdecorated, racing is a test of your attention span at times and worst? It may feel like the game is conspiring against you. The tutorial could benefit from being divided into separate "beginner" and "advanced" tutorials, and a less aggresive way to skip it without the code could help too. The game could greatly benefit from Time Trials being unlocked from the start so people can ease in to the wild variety of tracks, and the AI could ESPECIALLY take a chill pill or two. I'm pretty sure there are more flaws with the tutorial asides "ough Tutorial long", but we'd be here forever.

Overall, this game definitively exists. And if you like it, that's fine, and totally awesome! But for me? Damn, it sure hits different. I'm just hoping it gets some QoL updates down the line..

Did you know? You can skip the tutorial if you drive backwards from where you begin: you will be warped to an unbashedly difficult vs. CPU race, who thought this was right?

Also also, you unlock Time Attack after collecting EIGHTY TWO SPRAY CANS. Good luck collecting Spray Cans before you can even practice and study the tracks proper. At least the game looks nice, but that's about it. Never thought I'd feel disappointment in the same level as what I felt when playing BBTAG...

This game was a blast, I bought it years ago, and while it's not super great to the deep extent of Planet Robobot, it's still a great platformer to play, if not complete. A charming romp through Dream Land and beyond as Kirby tries to stop a cult? Sign me up! But did I mention this game is sorta dark? From the premise alone one could think many things… The music, as with any kirby game, is excellent, and the post-game content is great too! Even better with the Dream Friend updates. Overall, I think that alongside Planet Robobot, this is a great starting point for the Kirby series. Go check it out!

Look guys; this is a game that exists. You love fighting games, I love fighting games, we all love fighting games. But this? Truly not worthy of my attention, and that's saying something, because I buy every fun looking fighting game that I come across with, except this wasn't fun.

I thought that; “Yeah, sure, a game by the great minds behind hits like GUILTY GEAR, BlazBlue and Persona 4 Arena should be fun to play!” But when I got to the meat of it, it's like going to a badly organized convention; there's hardly anything in store, the game's fun for a few matches, if not rounds, but after that? Nothing.

A crossover game condemned by a half-baked roster, fan-favorites left behind paywalls at best, and the other half of Team RWBY isn't even in the base game! A crossover game that, at that; has more BlazBlue characters in the basegame than any other of the representants. The equal share should be there, I get that BlazBlue is in the title and apparently the main focus, but maybe they gave it a bit too much focus. It might as well just be a Blazblue game.

The gameplay isn't anything to write home about, I'm always welcome to experimentation but maybe it felt too simple, they tried to do something and they sort of failed, at least the game is playable, that's why it's half a star. It's just a shallow attempt at a great idea. I guess they did try to save it with DLC and stuff.

Look; All I'm saying here is that if you're gonna play it. Get it with the DLCs first, then you play. It's fine, I won't stop you, but be warned, it'll probably not be worth your time. They've already done me dirty years ago.

This game is unforgettable, man. I really mean it, from start to finish, it is a one-of-a-kind experience, the music, the characters (most of them, anyways), and especially the scenery took me in ever since I started the game. And I just now beat it!

I really loved the story and I enjoyed the gameplay quite frankly, my favorite part has to be the lategame. More especifically, when Ajna & company start looking for the Chakra Gates, for me, that's where the story really gets good, it's either that part or the endgame where they traverse the lands once again to set right what once went wrong. I'd say the Valkyrie Profile & Metroidvania combo did wonders on the gameplay.

Although, of course; it's not without its flaws, that's why it's 4/5 stars. For starters, I would've enjoyed it more if there where some hints as to where to go, even if they're minimal. Like- I got stuck once on the desert portion of the game before reaching Port Maerifa and THEN I got even more lost when boarding the Teotul and venturing across the three areas, it's why I beat it just now and not back then like a year ago. The exploration's great but I don't like it when it goes overboard. The Mt. Sumeru rerun was also kind if just there, what with the increasingly dastardly platforming challenges… at least the music was a surefire banger up there.

Story wise, again, it was great, but it could be better if it had more time to hang up lose threads and stuff, some some plot points that are either never resolved at the end or just left hanging up in the air. While I do love leaving things up to one's thoughts and speculation, it sure is a problem for a narratively-focused game like this one, I mean- it makes the story feel a bit rushed. Hell; it's minimal, but Ashwatt village gets burnt down to ashes in the first minutes of the story, and I really wanted to see more of it. But oh well, the game did have a troubled production after all. One thing's for sure though, as a person who finds it hard to say goodbye to people I've connected with for a long time, the departure scene really had me in tears.

Last but not least, there's the game content itself, I'd say it was well done, if a biiit underwhelming, While I do love the many playable Incarnations that live literally rent free on Ajna's brain (especially Kampan, Razmi, Dhar, Yan, NAGA RIDER, Nuna and Leilani my BELOVED), I felt a bit sad when I remembered some didn't make the final cut, like Sangwu and the others. I didn't even realize the Resolution Quests were there and did Hunoch's subconscioisly, at least that turned out nice. I sure wish there was more postgame content though, asides from New Game Plus and the nice detail of the reincarnated Ajna, I don't see myself playing it again post- NG+. It would be exciting if it had something like a boss rush mode, platforming trials or versus mode even, we have the Friendly Fire for it so why not? The Co-Op was a very welcomed addition however.

In the end, the game's not perfect, none of us are, but I wouldn't deny I did have a blast playing this otherwise phenomenal RPG. It could very well have the coveted 5 star rating, if ot had more time in the oven, but I perfevtly understand.

Look; I want to love this game, I really do, but the least I can do is say that I do like and I did enjoy it.

Super Mario Odyssey is something that I can only describe as overwhelming, but fun. It's like entering a restaurant, no- a buffet; and in said buffet there's this abundance of delicious foods, treats and dishes, these come in the form of Power Moons, the different Kingdoms, the Captures, and of course, the wardrobe.

You keep eating, joyed from the fact that you're being welcomed with open arms. "Come on in!", "Enjoy your stay!" It's all fun and games until you're done, you've finished the game. You saved Peach and may have taken the king of the Koopas for a spin, it was quite the scenery... and here comes the postgame. Quite arguably the part of the game that started to wear down on me. There are still thousands of moons to collect, heck- you even have to fight the Broodals again in zero-g to get some, and that's not even going into the bonus gauntlet you have to endure.

And after all of that, all you get for truly going out of your way for the elusive 999 Power Moon count is a top hat on Peach's Castle on Mushroom Kingdom, sure, it looks nice at first glance but that's about it. There isn much to do asides from Balloon World and racing with the Koopa's. After some good time of playing this game, I've realized that the overall experience deeply amounts to "too much of a good thing", the buffet is really good but in the end, you can't have too much of it or you'll end up with a stomachache. So you pay the tab and leave, realizing "This is better off as either a one-and done experience, or an ocassional visit." Again, not a bad game, it definitively has its highs, but it wears off and becomes sort of boring after a good while.

The one that started it all, a bit rough around the egdes but a REAL banger of a game.
