Since the inception of medium, video game journalists have been searching for the Citizen Kane of Gaming to no avail. There have been some worthy contenders over the years, but it would seem that in 2021, that title was finally claimed. Journalists can now rest easy and devote the subsequent new found free time to figuring out how Doom 2016 works.

Never before has a game managed to capture the essence of the human experience so succinctly. So much so that famed auteur, Hideo Kojima, is quoted as saying, "This is the shit I was trying to tell with Metal Gear Solid and they managed it with just one game."
