Really fun game yeah but it's nothing special

Probably the best rogue like I ever played. I really loved the atmosphere of the game. I also really loved the characters in the game really charming weirdos. The Soundtrack is also fantastic. Masaharu Iwata (also did the soundtrack for Final Fantasy Tatics with Hitoshi Sakimoto) did a really great job. I also recommend checking out the nerve tower website there are really cool things in there about the game.

Peak modern persona for me.
It is the only modern perosna game where I could really imerse myself into its setting and World. It really resonates with me and feels relatable in a very specific and personal way I can not tell because of anonymity and I also do not feel comfortable writing it in the review. However the gameplay is a other thing on its own. Firstly I want to say I really like the Gameplay, but it is really punishing. I could see someone that can not power through it giving up in some point because the life sim aspect unfortunately is affecting the Rpg side and it can make a playthrough really annoying and punishing. But I still really like that the life sim aspect is realistic in a specific way because I think it help me care more about the characters and their struggles and personalities. For me Persona 3 has the best cast of any modern Persona game. Besides that I actually want to talk about the dungeon crawling aspect and the actual combat. The dungeon crawling is unfortunately the weakest part of the game and kind of a series wide problem of the modern era of the persona series. The combat in the other hand is actually great yeah even if you do not give your party any direct orders. I could work well with the tactics menu. The Ai is dumb sometimes but for me it is not that bad. At the end I just want to say that Persona 3 is a game that is really important to me as a person. It means so much to me. It really felt like I found something that understands me. Like the only games that come to my mind is The World Ends with You and Flower, Sun and Rain. I thankful for this 70 hour game teaching me to value my life, my friends and just in general people that are in my life. Everthing ends at a certain point but there is enough time to enjoy life to its fullest. I am greatful to live. Even though this game dealts with heavy subject matter. It's still a game full with joyish moments. It shows all the beautiful things about life. Even how badly life treats someone you are never alone. People are always by your side. Man this shit just resonates with me. I know I said that I won't be personal in this review but I think it's appropriate to mention that.

Probably the best writing in a Video game, but the script is sometimes to whacky and stupid. But actually that's make it charming in my opinion. I also want to mention the God tier soundtrack from Shinji Hosoe (please listen to the Rave Racer soundtrack also really fantastic but yeah his most well-known work is maybe I think Street Fighter EX2).
I personally recommend playing the DS version of the game for the definitive experience.

Demo impression from one month ago: It's alright wasn't blown away from the spectical because it wasn't something like really extra like in cutscene in Bayonetta or Devil may cry. It had some neat references like the one dragoon fight and the music was great but the world design aka dungeon design aka the one forest felt so boring to explore and some of the QTEs were so annoying and so laughable inclusion. However I like the accessibility feature with the rings that the game offered I'm all for that but also wished for some that make the game more harder too for the people who wants that. The small section where the Benedikta boss is was also great and disappointing at the same time the combat seemed to be more interesting in this trial snippet thingy but I quickly realized that the combat really doesn't offered interesting enemy interactactions aka some as basic as like a burning status or poising for enemies. In Devil may cry 3 for example if you hit an enemy with their weakness it has an unique effect that is a sign for an unique interact between the player and the enemy. Finally I give my two cents about the story in the opening section. I think the story so far is really intriguing. However I don't think it's the best written or the most interesting opening section in the mainline franchise. Final fantasy xvi also isn't the most dark or mature game in the franchise. Yeah it has a high fantasy setting I know that but still in some of the mainline game also happens very cruel and dark things like a mass genocide in final fantasy x and a genocide of a village that is caused by you in final fantasy iv. The crazy part is that they happen really early in the respective games. Furthermore I want to go back quickly to talk about the gameplay again. This Time I want to mention that the Rpg mechanics feel really shallow but obviously I didn't played the whole game to critique it. I only hope the Rpg mechanics have just a good reason to be in the game expect of just being there for the brand.

Great and short action rpg with surprisingly many great tracks

Probably one of the most beautiful games I ever played and also a really fun rpg, but it's really flawed in some aspects but I still love it
