@NOWITSREYNTIME17 Considering NSMBU and NSMB2 got 3.2 and 2.9 respectively specifically because they did nothing new, it is pretty clear that Kirby's ratings are inflated.

Good review, but "swan song of the 8-bit era"? The game came out in 1988. That's the first half of the NES's life. NES games were still frequently releasing well into 1993.

@NOWITSREYNTIME17 This game isn't well-loved but a 3.4 is still absurdly high. And Squeak Squad has a 3.6 despite that game doing literally nothing
