When starting the game I was worried was not for me. But as I plodded along through the first few levels, getting abilities/the hang of things I realised the fun to be had amongst the rhythmic melee gameplay. Pulling off deathless runs on a section felt rewarding and looked amazing. Once I had my fill the game ended nicely not overstaying it’s welcome.

Cute little puzzle game that try’s to focus on relaxation but falls flat due to the cursor being dreadful on the Xbox and some puzzles just so bizarre that you have to search. I would have preferred a style like unpacking which brought a more zen like feel.

Another game that plays straight out of the 360 days. The combat is like a simplified god of war but throwing annoying enemies at you in such a way that can get infuriating. After the first few chapters you are just fighting multiple mini bosses at the same time as they gangbang you. The story was woeful to the point of not being bothered to follow.

A refreshing take on the turn based game, adding a card somewhat straight forward deck builder. The game itself starts off very slow, but once you pick up on the mechanics and start making decks for your favourite marvel hero’s it becomes a joy. I did find towards the in between mission hangouts a drag towards the end but throughout really dug the friendship system. A good get for any marvel fan looking for a fresh challenge (blade is my guy!)

I’m not a child. But playing with a significant other just for the meme is great fun.

A very simple twin stick shooter with nothing special. The missions are forgettable, no voice acting, enemy designs down right lazy. But for all its short comings, the game was so much fun with a friend. Turn your brain off and just shoot. Also even though the bosses were terrible to look at, they were easily the most fun part.

A very accessible walking sim with fantastic writing and setting. The game makes you think about life a religion in a grand scale and uses emotional AI to portray the different perspectives of the human brain. The slowness of the character does diminish my want to finish on a different ending though.

When starting this game I instantly fell in love with its bullet hell nature and art style closely resembling the Binding of Issac. The plethora of skills to advance creates a addictive loop. Unfortunately this does plummet once completing a few runs as the level, enemies and music does not change…… at all. I was happy with the time I put in it but couldn’t see myself finishing a run with all characters. Also the game was way too hard to I did fiddle with the accessibility options to allow a fighting chance.

Another game recently played that feels like a step into the past. The controls are somewhat tanky and movement feels straight out of the PlayStation 2 days. If it wasn’t for free play weekend I could see my self fiddling around with the later levels and 2 other available characters.

Feels like I’m a kid again. Playing old 360 games like prototype or timeshift. Main difference though is that they were fun. The story, graphics and controls are quite bad with the setting not doing any favours. I did enjoy playing as the wolf in stealth but this got old fast. The constant crouching with no way out of it is an obvious ploy to extend the very small play time.

Life is strange True Colours seems to have found its way back to its roots. The story is touching and heartfelt, with likeable characters with hidden complexities due to the new mechanic allowing you to read deep emotions. The setting is beautiful and really helps portray the story. It’s slow but in the best way possible, like a warm evening coffee. When finished I couldn’t help but smile with the happy ending I was able to orchestrate.

Eh. It’s a somewhat enjoyable game with friends but I find it hard to want to commit. It has this janky feel like most survival games but is just easy enough to be fun. I wish I put more time in it but just fell off.

A very average three stars. Only reason is due to the turn off your brain combat/story/everything making it more a ‘chat to friends while fingers are moving’. I played the entirety of the game in coop making it a breeze to get to through. I played it during a free play weekend so if I had to sink any money into it I would probably have given it a two. As for the devs, deleting reviews under a four on the Xbox is just dog. They get a one star.

What happened???
I have very much enjoyed my time with the yakuza series with the hope to finish them all. But why did so much change from the leap from 2 to 3? The combat is boring, the levelling bland, the story so slow! How is it on chapter 10 you are still dealing with boring ass orphanage fetch quests. Even the side missions, which are normally so fun and quirky, were a slog. I do hope 4 gets back to form.

This one hurts. I was looking forward to a cute little brawler with my own Lego minifigure. What I was given was a half assed, content light experience with some of the worst fighting seen in a game. There is 2 attack buttons! 2!!!
The only good thing about the game is the character creator allowing a slew of options to make whatever you want once you progress on their free themed battle passes.
