I FUCKING HATE WISPS!!!!!!

WHY HAVE THEY BEEN A MAJOR GIMMICK IN EVERY SONIC GAME FOR THE PAST DECADE??
I CAN'T ESCAPE THESE CHICKEN LITTLE ALIEN REJECTS EVEN BY PLAYING HANDHELD VERSIONS OF THE CONSOLE GAMES!!

WHO TF AT SEGA THOUGHT WISPS WERE THE THING PEOPLE LOVED ABOUT COLORS?? WHO CARES ABOUT THESE THINGS??? HAHA YEA YUJI NAKA SIR DA WISPS NEED TO STAY!

[YUJI NAKA PRISON VOICE] WELL SHUCKS, MAYBE THIS IS WHAT I DESERVE FOR HAVING A WISP FETISH 😓

WHY WERE THEY LAZILY INSERTED INTO EVERY GAME SINCE, MAKING COLORS HAVE EVEN LESS IDENTITY THAN IT ALREADY DID??
WHY DO THEY ALL SUCK ASS TO USE AAGGSHHD THE AWFUL STONE GYRO CONTROLS ONE IN THIS GAME IS ESPECIALLY ASS!! THIS GAME REALLY THINKS UNLOCKING WISPS FOR EARLIER STAGES IS GONNA ENCOURAGE ME TO REPLAY THEM🤮

MAYBE SONIC BOOM IS SECRETLY THE BEST MODERN GAME CUZ IT DOESN'T HAVE FUCKING WISPS!!!

Also maybe the worst special stages in the franchise? I can't recall ever getting motion sickness from playing a game but these almost did it good lord. But more importantly, actually playing them makes me look like a complete retard.

One part scathing histrionic takedown of the beloved Anas platyrhynchos, one part genre innovator that challenges the preconceptions of what it means to be a "rouge-like indie game."

I was immediately gumbersmucked by the title screen backing track, a haunting declaration of the core themes the game will confidently tackle throughout its ~10 hour runtime.

While drawing from other popular rogue-likes the level of choice at every intersection is staggering! Do I burn the trees? Eat them? Chop them down for some wood? The choice is yours. Here's the catch: the same answers will almost never lead to the exact same results. If try to burn those trees again they may get the jump on you and attack!

This brings me to the combat. All I can say is wow what a doozy. Simple on the surface but bonecrushing and strategic when you get to the meat and potatoes of it all. Borrowing from the obscure cult-like wonder RPG known as Earthbound the game implements a rolling HP meter. Well... not quite, in fact it's nothing like that, quite the opposite. Using items that restore more HP (such as Feastables sponsored by the internet superstar Mr. Beast) than your limit will actually allow it to overflow and increase your max health. Now that's what I call ingenuity!

Multiple endings aren't new in the realm of video games but the method at which Bird Quest handles them is absolutely masterful. Bird Quest asks the tough questions: do you TRULY understand yourself? Do you understand BIRDS? Personally I decided to align myself with Bird as I empathized with his plight. Little did I know I would be attacked by an opposing faction championing ideals such as law and rules. Zionism? Not on their watch. I wiped the floor with those vermin as me and Bird danced on their graves and stirred up chaos in their wake.

The Phoenix Rises

game makes me read a whole ass bible passage before saving every SINGLE time, fuck off bro.

Network Transmission if it sucked less dick

No I'm not gonna do another 2 whole playthroughs, go fuck yourself.

finally beat this legit to maintain my gamer street cred

fuck this game. it's harder than the other bullshit games on the nes people like to gas up like castlevania 1 and zelda 2 for me for some reason. goofy ass momentum and physics that I could never seem to adapt to or feel like i was in total control. the hitboxes can fuck off too.

ultimately it was still pretty addicting and satisfying to master and beat I suppose. it do be mario and saved the game industry or whatever so I gotta respect.

Octopath Travelver but good

(I have not played Octopath)

Will continue to update after each campaign

the musical chairs minigame goes a bit hard I ain't gon lie

mortal kombat if it was good

Edit: It's peak.

While it sounds crazy enough to write a review about a game thats not even OUT LMAO. I why I can 100% confirm that this game will be my favourite game ever when it gets localized.

Labyrinth of Galleria from a series I'm genuinely not that familiar with. beside playing Etrian Odyssey on the DS 10 years ago. Having played a few hours of Disgaea on the PS2 and having watched like 7 episodes of Little Witch Academia and then dropping it out of boredom. You would genuinely be insane from a series where your intertest was never fully captured nor grasped to have the latest entry be your FAVOURITE GAME EVER?! Well here I will try to concretely enough explain my "My insanity" or for some of you guys "Stupidity" I'm assuming.

I found out about Labyrinth of Galleria pretty late actually the game was revealed on the NIS Youtube channel in 2019. I accidentally stumbled upon the game in march pure on whim. I was watching videos about JRPGs and I saw the games Trailer in my recommendations. I didn't even wanna click on the trailer nor did I want it to play YouTube Autoplayed it for me when I went to the toilet lol... but when I came back I was like "fuck it why not" and pressed replay and my mind was blown away... to most it's a standard trailer nothing outstanding or experimental enough for someone to lose their shit over it but man... I WAS IN. From the SFX of Eureka her ahoge the silent build up and the narrator to the strong fantasy athmosphere but with a striking distinct visual style. It reminded so much of every favourite Fantasy series I love and it happens so rarely that I ever have such a strong sense of nostolgia from past of something in the present that I have no strong knowledge. But from the previously mentioned things and flashy gameplay and strong and striking character designs. I just knew it was the one. The First-Person Dungeon Crawling genre is a VERY important genre to me because it helped me allot as a person throughout my life and I honestly watched allot of dungeon media but super rarely has this same feeling been matched before. I literally searched up every information about the game since and don't think I've ever been as hype for something as this game. The latest Info dump just made me even more confident in my feelings. I rewatched each trailer over 10x and watched the gameplay showcases over 10x. Did as much research as I can on the people working on it. Theorize heavy about future characters , environments and potential story beats. I genuinely have 100% trust in this game and don't think I can get dissapointed really.

So it really a case of pure feelings of nostolgia , charm and trust that makes me so sure. I know this seems goofy asf to write this but I know myself the best so I know best what my true feelings on the game will be.

( P.S I've done this before and know how my expectations work so I really cannot be dissapointed. also I will do a follow up in 2023 on this when I play it.

Played on the PS2 collection with fast forward, easy mode, and a guide and it's still a grindy chore. Some of the worst dungeons ever conceived for a RPG. Visuals and music are completely average besides some of the beginning and ending cutscenes. Feels far too padded and badly paced especially compared to the tightness of the first game. Story has some cool ideas that were probably ambitious for the time but there's not enough of it here to make up for the effort of actually playing the game.

Kinda garbage but I like it anyway.

Fuck you xbox why did my save get corrupted

That's for 12 years of Full House!
