One of my favorite games of all time. I know it doesn’t do it for everyone, but I thought it was one of the most visceral and beautiful depictions on loss, hatred, regret, and love that I’ve experienced in a big blockbuster game. It also helps that it has some of the best stealth gameplay I’ve ever played. Just absolutely stellar across the board, I think I like it more than the first one if I’m being honest.

Couldn’t enjoy this at all sadly. The writing feels like try hard “try to sound cool by swearing a ton” stuff and the storytelling felt really shallow. The general world and gameplay are also really uninteresting and at worst just not fun at all. The driving and shooting mechanics especially don’t feel great.

It has a lot of glaring flaws and it won’t hit for everyone, but it absolutely hit for me and I’m glad there’s finally another good 3D sonic game after so long. This could’ve been one of the most cynical things sonic team could’ve produced to chase the open world trend, but they’ve managed to pull off a fun free form platformer that maintains and even reinstates the identity of the series that felt lost for some time. Sonic Team, please keep experimenting with this formula, keep refining it, and most of all, keep this spirit and passion.

Just some nice, fun 3D platforming for a couple hours with a pretty good ost to boot! It’s got some neat ideas, very tight and responsive controls while also being exhilarating during the fast paced set pieces. The visual style is also pretty charming imo (Hana my beloved..). It’s $5, give a go if you’re at all interested!

This really should’ve been a home run, it’s the exact kind of game that I was hoping it wouldn’t be. The gunplay just doesn’t have the kick to it that I’d like, with the sound design sounding way too soft imo. The card and progression systems also just turned me off completely, it’s not my thing at all. This was a shame :(

Probably the most engaged I’ve ever been with a Pokémon game, what’s here is where I’ve always wanted the series to go in. Fell in love with the core gameplay hook, manually catching Pokémon while trying to be stealthy is always satisfying. The game is incredibly ugly though, and the animation quality across the board just isn’t where I think it should be. Didn’t remember much of the story but I dig the tone, hope more games go for a more mature tone in the future. Had a great time :)

Pretty fun! Unfortunately didn’t care too much for the actual story and the performance wobbles and general overworld presentation drag it down a bit, but the mini games and combat are the best they’ve ever been. I don’t think the boss battles are quite as memorable, but most are a good time or offer an interesting spin on the gameplay style. Play it on anything but the switch I beg you
