it's kinda fun and i love pve, but it can feel restrictive at times and the lack of mission variety makes playing this nonstop absolutely nauseating. i hope they spice up the weapon variety soon too, because i'm kinda tired of the basic guns that are in every game.

i almost cried at the ending, and i know what happens. it's an incredible game, from start to finish. every character is memorable, even the bosses. and the story is incredible. there wasn't a moment where i thought it was stagnating or boring.
what an incredible gift it is that we get to exist in a world with the first metal gear solid trilogy. it's a series about warfare and the military, it's action movie bullshit mixed with anime bullshit, but it's got a lot of heart, and it made me see the world in a different way. i doubt we'll ever get anything like it again.

god, i don't even know where to start. this game is incredible in every way. the gameplay is practically flawless in my opinion, the story kinda got boring for a bit in the middle but more than picked up the slack in the third act, and all of the characters are memorable. except fortune. fuck fortune.

the fact that a game this fun, this meta, this modern, and this emotionally affecting with voice acting that doesn't suck as far back as 1998 is nothing short of incredible. it builds on previous games while still being accessible to everyone, even if you've never picked up a video game. an absolute must-play.

the story seriously took a turn for the worst in the latter half, giving up its unique ideas for more nostalgic pandering, but this is a step in the right direction, and i hope we can move on from the time travel stuff next time.
