The sequel maintains the high qualities of the first game. The script, a direct continuation of the story, is well-written. The tone changes slightly - where "Milk Inside [...]" was more dreamlike and surreal, "Milk Outside [...]" seems more immersed in the "here and now", although not without extraordinarily twists. However, most importantly, we still have a very convincing presentation of the thought process of a person with mental health problems. Thanks to the author's writing talent, even though I don't have such serious issues as the main character, I have no problem understanding her and empathizing with her.

Graphically, the game is more sophisticated than the original, but there are also callbacks to the style of the first one efficiently incorporated into the plot. The appropriately atmospheric soundtrack, just like in the first part, perfectly fits the tone of the game.

The story is engaging from beginning to end, the entire game is highly immersive and allows some people, including me, to find a piece of themselves in the heroine. The game is not long, which I think works to the story's advantage but it has several endings that encourage more than one playthrough.

Felvidek stands on three extremely solid foundations - script, graphics and music.

The game tells the story of an alcoholic knight and his quest to control the unrest in the area and regain his beloved. All in ever-fascinating setting of medival Central Europe.

Graphics and music go hand in hand with the plot, creating a slightly surreal, disturbing and fascinating world of Felvidek. I also really liked the cutscenes, which added extra flavor to the game. The animations and sound effects during combat, both when attacking and using items, are great. The combat mechanics, although simple, are varied enough to prevent you from feeling bored while playing. The number of fights is well balanced and only in the last act will we have to fight more often, although it is also possible to avoid many fights.

It took me 6 hours to complete the game. That time was filled with interesting characters, great, often witty dialogues and one hell of a mystery to solve. Importantly, the script maintains a high level until the very end and I was very pleased with the way story resolved.

The game runs without any problems on Steamdeck.

This review contains spoilers

First of all - I like Abby as a character a lot. I wish we could finish the game playing as her. She is sympathetic, cares about her friends and has her heart in the right place. She had the opportunity to kill Ellie three times, but violence for violence sake was never her goal. She's not a saint by any means, but I feel like she's really trying her best considering what kind of world she's living in.

Second - Ellie story is tragic. Joel was a terrible person, Tommy was not better at the end. So considering that was the people who rised Ellie, there's no suprise she end up "broken". Still decision to leave Dina and their child was so painful and immature that it really made it hard for me to play as Ellie at the end, when all I wanted to do was to turn around and go back.

I don't know if that was writers intention, but I like how they showed what influence people like Joel could have for young person. He was never a hero and his relation with Ellie was never healthy, despite what some "gamers" could think after first game. Showing it in part 2 must be shocking for younger or more immature playeres. That's, in my opinion, what couses all this terrible hate that follows this game.

Mechanically, the game has a lot of little glorious moments, but overall the gameplay isn't very different from the first game. For ND, as for R*. time seems to have stood still. Pity. Graphics and music are top notch. Likewise, animations and voice acting - all praise and rewards are well deserved.

Overall it's a 7 maybe 8 out of 10 for me. I respect the writing and what ND tried to share, although I can't be sure if all the good parts of the story was intentional or if that's just my reading of it. I really like horror elements of the game - some locations was great in making creepy atmosphere. Setbacks - outdated gameplay style, lack of chance to impact the story as a player.
