Just finished 100% Zebeth mode (the recreation of Metroid NES) and got up to 25% of Novus, amazing little game, the QoL changes made to the original are enough to push me to finally beat it. Will come back another day to finish Novus for sure.

That day came a month later, finished Novus at 83%, had to look up how to do a certain thing because for the life of me I couldn't find how to proceed (the answer was two walkable spots on the map, my least favorite way of hiding things). Has some welcome surprises and some pretty well hidden expansions, because I explored 94% of the map and still had like 1 tank and a lot of missiles to go.

Pretty fun minimetroid, with lots of personality. Minus a few gripes I may have with it, it's a fun ride!

Retired from sale for plagiarized music apparently, it was an entertaining little mv game. Surprisingly polished for what it cost and the seemingly low production values!

Short but sweet, a pure metroidvania title that knows what it's doing. The death system could be a problem if you manage to fuck yourself onto dying on the other side of the map or something, but I just died once and it was right next to a save point, so no comment.

just logged it because I forgot before, I got filtered by the full corrupt last boss, but did everything of the corrupt route before that iirc. Amazing game, and one of the few that do the "roguevania", or metroidvania with roguelite elements, well (in my humble opinion). Recommended.

Finished at 81% completion in one sitting (I'll probably try and finish some more stuff, though some secrets are really well hidden, in a way that I can't even fathom how to get to them). It can be a bit cumbersome at times, especially when backtracking or when trying to do precise grapple maneuvers, but all in all a very enjoyable time.

2017

Pretty nice and cool adventure, halfway between Metroid and Zelda. Lack of technical polish (rip Runic) make it slightly infuriating sometimes, but nothing that can't be solved with a reboot of the game. Recommended!

Shorter than I expected, but nonetheless a pretty cool little search-action game, with a hint of bullet hell mixed in. No longer on sale sadly.

Way better than the first one holy shit

Amazing stuff though the inverted castle is complete filler. Makes Harmony of Dissonance even worse in retrospect, which is funny.

T'was okay, the Metroidvania part is mostly only present on the last part of the game (which itself only took me around 2 hours and a half), but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I also didn't know I could upgrade my character with points from level ups, so I spent a good chunk of game getting my ass kicked for no good reason (especially by the second boss, where health upgrades would have helped immensely).

Beat the arcade in the easiest difficulty level. I'm not that good at bullet hells, so it may stay there, or I may return to it later down the road. I do really like how it plays though.

this is literally cock and ball torture holy shit

i am weak and that level 5 filtered me
