I was worried that nostalgia were blinders on this game, but it turns out it holds up really well! While not perfect, for a licensed tie-in game, it actually is a well-paced, competently made platformer collect-a-thon

The gold standard bearer I now hold for Pokémon remakes. All the things that made X and Y great, plus new Mega Evolutions, excellent music, and a baller post-game mission.

This really made me disappointed in how BDSP turned out.

Despite having a much better battle system and a heartbreaking story, locking the last two story quests behind being required to complete optional side quests made this feel like a chore I'd prefer never to repeat.

One of the best side-scroller beat 'em ups I've ever played, capitalizing on what made Turtles in Time, Scott Pilgrim, etc. so great, with stellar sprite art and a catchy as hell soundtrack. A must play!

Despite the now outdated controls and aiming that make it more difficult than it needs to be and the hammy voice acting, it was fun to revisit one of the first shooters I ever played as a kid. Music is still great, too!

Despite some of its problematic elements, its absolutely gripping story, lovable main cast, bangin' soundtrack, and tight gameplay easily cement this as not only one of my favorite JRPGs, but one of my favorite video games period. No exaggeration.

Finally finished this after 6 years of putting it off. This truly was the culmination of how far Pokémon's presentation could be pushed on the 3DS.

That said, while I enjoyed the antagonists of the story immensely, I couldn't care less for the rivals this time around.

A short-and-sweet addition to an already great game. Not only did we get some even more challenging Bugsnax to catch, we get more character development for some of the characters that show up later in the game, and a proper final boss!

Easily the worst of the mainline Pokémon remakes. On their own they AREN'T bad games, but when prior remakes offered more content and polish than just the same game with slightly better presentation and nothing else, something just feels missing.

Music is great, but it's not enough to justify ever playing this again for me.

This is easily my least favorite Yakuza game. While I enjoy the mechanical improvements the gameplay made and generally like some of the story arcs, it's bloated length sucks out the enjoyment of it all and it overstays it's welcome quickly.

This was my first ever Legend of Zelda game, and what a one to start on. Despite some of the temples having not so great pacing, the dark and somber tone of the story and atmosphere are arresting on each playthrough. I'd love to see Nintendo take this somber approach again one day.

A damn near immaculate remake of a classic survival horror game. Marries all the elements I loved about RE1, RE4, and everything else that came before it into the what I feel is the perfect RE experience I'll have no qualms about playing again

Despite graphical limitations and the lack of voice acting, the changes to the mechanics of battling and catching Pokémon, coupled with a fun story make it feel new all over again.

If this is the direction Pokémon's taking, I'm here for it!

If this ever gets remastered/remade, the final mission needs to be fixed because it is hair-pulling levels of needlessly difficult.

Immaculately designed, beautifully recreated a long-gone era of animation, but good lord in heavens is it DIFFICULT. Thankfully, it encourages you each time you fail to show you exactly how much you had left to go.

Couldn't have beaten it solo, my first few playthroughs were ragequit solo but finally beat them in co-op with a friend.
