Royal is just a complete improvement of the base game and I definitely recommend it.

The new additions of Akechi, Kasumi and Maruki is a great choice and they fit in perfectly. All characters in this game (besides two of them) are very interesting and you can learn a lot from their social link. Unfortunately the game still doesn't fix the problem that I have with the cast: They do not really interact that much outside of the social links. Persona 4 (Golden) did it better but I still love the characters regardless.

The OG Persona 5 story was already great but Royal makes the story perfect. The new additional part at the end of the base game is so much fun and the new palace is probably the best one. The new bits in between the story fit in quite well and it's a nice flow. The pacing is just very good.

This game also has a lot of Quality of Life changes and they are so good. Guns are reloaded after fights and got overhauled in general? Grappling hook? Baton Pass level up? Way more night activities? All great changes and there are even more! They even did a big overhaul for Mementos and now it has way more to offer.

The new OST is also just on another level. Take Over is probably my favorite battle theme. All new songs from Royal are just over the top and make me quite emotional.

Overall I really really love this game and I recommend it to everyone, even if you already played Persona 5.

P.S.: date Takemi, it's the right choice. (I accept Kasumi too)

Brilliant remaster!

I played the original game back on the PSP. This remaster added so many quality of life changes that improve the game by a lot. None of the mechanics are useless, they are simple but they just work. Huge props to the magic system!

The gil and exp multiplier make it easier to grind and I am glad they added it. The arrangment OST, especially the Chaos Shrine, is top tier. All in all a very good remaster.

Wow, where to start...

Fatal Frame 2 is superior in every aspect compared to its predecessor. The story is very intriguing and its ending is very heartbreaking. The song that plays during the ending... Tsukiko Amano is such a great voice.

The gameplay is improved, the camera mechanics too. The ghosts are quite scary. Unfortunately I think the boss fights are annoying, especially the Twin fight, it just takes ages.

This game is also very scary. The atmosphere is AMAZING but I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The ghosts look very detailed and the jump scares got me.

Overall I prefer it over the first game, can't wait to see what the third game offers!

visual novel mixed with picross puzzle, it kinda dragged on later but the game itself is a lot of fun.

I once watched a stream of this game and now played it by myself and I gotta say: I dislike it.

I gotta say, I am not the biggest fan of the first game and I never got attached to Ellie and Joel. (they are very forgettable to me)

First the positive things:

The atmosphere is great. Spooky but not too spooky. The destroyed cities and other parts look absolutely beautiful. The graphcs and animations are amazing too, especially during the combat. The animations make the combat a lot of fun, melee is probably my favorite.

Now to the negatives: The whole story and pacing. NOTHING happens during the days and fact that you have to play as Abby and Ellie for 3 days is very annoying and it drags. Also the open world parts are way too long.
The story is the other problem. You are supposed to be attached to Ellie with the first game, they kill off a character in the beginning and you are supposed to feel something for Abby? Eh, not a fan of that. The ending is also very disappointing.

The conversation between Sandman and Spider-Man in SM3 is a better work about the cycle of violence and forgiveness than this whole game.

Absolute bonkers! <3

I love everything about this game! The plot is not as simple as you think it is but it's well done if you think about it more. The last chapter had me screamin. All the (new) characters are amazing, including Viola.

The combat is even better in this game. The Demons/Kaijus are a great addition to the already perfect combat. You have a big selection of weapons and demons with their own unique moveset. Unfortunately Viola's combat is kinda basic and doesn't work as perfect as Bayonetta's does. You are supposed to parry to get Witch Time but it doesn't work against 50% of the enemy. That's my only complain.

BUT YES, KAIJU KAIJU KAIJU!!! The special levels when you fight as a Kaiju are my favorite. The level design is top tier, you got secrets and collectables everywhere and some small puzzles too. The different dimensions are just so cool.

AND DON'T FORGET THE AMAZING OST!! Bayonetta's OST is superior and this game doesn't miss! Viola's theme is top tier. You just get into the right flow when the music starts playing during combat.

ALL IN ALL, PLEASE PLAY IT! The game tries a lot but it works in the end!

XCOM x card game x Marvel. Love the free roaming bits actually, it is nice to get to know the lore and characters. The story starts slow but picks up later on. I wish I could romance in this game. Underrated game for sure.

i don't know what they were thinking about when creating this racing game but they made sure it's worse than Jak 2

My Game of the Year.

Such an improvement on the other two great games. First of all, the story. Kraven the Hunter is an amazing villain and I think the arc is great BUT the whole symbiote/Venom arc is top tier. We don't need an Eddie to make a great Venom arc, Harry made totally sense here. It's a refreshing take. I thought the venom arc was slow at first (but they focused on Kraven which makes sense) but it picked up pretty fast. All the boss fights during the story are amazing, especially the last venom fight but also Miles vs Peter. Peter ripping off the symbiote is a top moment in this game. Also playing as Venom???? HELLO????

The gameplay is a lot of fun. Nothing can top SM2 when it comes to movement. It feels so smooth, you can feel every swing and the wing suit is a great addition. Also the combat is a lot of fun. I am glad they reduced the gadget wheel because it felt kinda bloated in the first game and only four gadgets are great. The different abilites are well animated and just fun to use.

The side stuff is not repetitive like in the first game. The flame sidequest ties in very well with the story of this game and the first one. EMF one was very emotional. What surprised me was the Spiderbot quest... Great tie-in to an amazing movie series!

The only miss the game has are the suits. While Miles suits are mostly great, Peters aren't. There are too many MCU suits and a lot of them could have been variants of others.

If you liked SM1 and MM, you will LOVE this one.

Great premise aged well but the controls didn't. The cars are pain in the ass to drive. The levels are well designed but too big sometimes, the AI doesn't find you. All the endings are cool but I wish they were actual cutscenes.

A proper game to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Final Fantasy.

The story starts slow but it picks up later and it's getting really interesting. Some twists are quite obvious. I wanna see what the DLCs do with the story.

The characters are... something. Actually, I do like Jack and Astos, the rest is... not interesting. Very bland. If you think Jack is bland, oh boy, do i have bad news for you.

The combat is very nioh like, as expected from Team Ninja. The different classes are a lot of fun, and I think the system itself is great. Every class is unique and fun to play. Do not expect Dark Souls combat, expect an own combat system.

The music is just peak, you hear a lot of remixed tracks from old games. it's very lovely and truely a love letter as well.

The biggest problem the game has is actually the levels. While all the levels are based on previous FF games (which is really awesome), they are usually just corridors with sometimes stupid gimmicks. Later on the levels open up a bit but eh. And that's not cool for such a game.

Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the game and I can recommend it to every FF fan. Do not be scared of the genre or the "boring" protagonist, he is really awesome.
