My EVIL About Me

This would've been better if I had made this for Halloween. Oh well. Happy day after the day after All Saints Day (equally as evil) I guess.

I got the idea after snooping around AlexaLily's lists to see if she finally listened to Forever Kingdom's OST, as I requested of her, when I stumbled upon this list: https://www.backloggd.com/u/AlexaLily/list/about-me-except-i-stole-unis-idea-to-make-some-of-my-own-categories/

Pokémon Unite
Pokémon Unite
Least Favorite Game of All Time

For a very long time Dota 2 was my least favorite game ever made. Then this game came out.

Imagine Dota 2 but even more mind-numbing, more of a time/money sink, but also explicitly marketed towards children. Awful. Despicable. The MOBA was truly a mistake.

That isn't even a stupid witty joke, I genuinely, without a shred of irony, think that the whole genre is irredeemable and antithetical to the rest of the art form.
Overwatch
Overwatch
Least Favorite Series

I'm so glad that technically Overwatch 2 counts as a new game and not just like an enhanced edition because now Overwatch is a series which means that it qualifies for being my least favorite series. <3
Dungeon Encounters
Dungeon Encounters
Worst Soundtrack

Do you wanna hear the lamest metal covers of classical music? Do you only want to hear that? For upwards of 30 hours? Besides the brief reprieve you get in town, you will be listening to the most embarrassing things ever.
Kingdom Hearts III
Kingdom Hearts III
Least Favorite Protagonist

The premise of this game is that Sora's gonna "save" the 6 protagonists that have died or done similar throughout the series so that they all can fight Xehanort and New Organization XIII together. Sora's story ended at the end of KH2 when he reunited with his friends, but his whole thing is that he wants to be with his friends again, so he'll act a lot more attached to these dead people he doesn't know, it just doesn't work. Also The antagonist of this game doesn't know Sora, and Sora doesn't know him. Aqua, Terra, and Ven are the ones with a connection to Xehanort, but Sora is the only one who ever interacts with him, and it just doesn't work.

Also everyone is written terribly and annoyingly in this game so so is Sora.
Ace Attorney Investigations 2
Ace Attorney Investigations 2
Least Favorite Villain

This is a perfect example of how to not write a story about a grand conspiracy orchestrated by a genius hidden in the shadows. The great reveal is the lamest shit I've ever read in my life and the villain's motivation is so contrived and stupid.
Octopath Traveler
Octopath Traveler
Worst Story

Never have I ever seen a story refuse at every opportunity to be good. Every interesting idea is swept aside, every good development of the plot is rejected in favor of writing the most incoherent, hack bullshit. Why is your main gimmick that there's an ensemble cast but they never interact with each other's stories ever. Oh, Primrose needs to sneak into a manse? If only she knew a highly skilled thief who could help her with that. Olberic is trying to find his purpose in life? If only he had literally seven traveling companions who all seem very resolute in their ideals and goals.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Have played but wish I hadn't

Spent 30 hours on this game. The most empty soulless thing I've played. It's basically just a town building sim where you have to do hours of grinding before you can actually have a fun time building it.

I wish Animal Crossing gave the player a lot less agency like it used to. The fun was always in carving out a part of your town for you to exist in, not for you to create your dream town. And also I wish that the games were written well again. It's hard to play this game when every interaction feels the same.

Also this game's OST sucks. New Leaf's OST was bad too, and I am a weirdo who's favorite game soundtrack ever is the original Animal Crossing's, so maybe I'm biased, but that trumpet's lame as hell. Bring back the penis music.
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Mario Galaxy 2
You Hate Everyone Loves
(Yeah this one's on the list, but it's the opposite of another one on it so I gotta do it still. This happens a few more times in this list.)

I really don't like this game. I think it's a really bad follow up to Galaxy. There didn't need to be more Galaxy, Galaxy was perfect, there was nowhere to take the concept. Not only that, but this game lacks the heart Galaxy had, it feels like dlc for the first game, which it was originally going to be. Genuinely if Galaxy didn't have the more dark aesthetic and the subplot with Rosalina's backstory, it's just a mediocre game to me, and that's what this game is. But it isn't Galaxy, it's Galaxy 2. Why play a version of Galaxy where nothing is changed except 1: The level design is less interested in giving you a great sense of awe and 2: It doesn't have the respite from the platforming that the Library gave.

Galaxy is a game I can play start to finish and never get bored, but it took me 6 years to finish Galaxy 2.
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy XIII
You Love Everyone Hates

While Final Fantasy XIII is no longer the most hated game ever, at this point it's probably not even the most hated Final Fantasy game, it's still pretty unpopular. I love it for many reasons. It was the first FF game where I actually thought the active time battle system wasn't a hindrance to it (in fact, I love FFXIII's battle system), it has the best party of any FF, I think they work the best off each other and to this day it's the only party where I like every character in it, and I think this game is beautiful. It's easily the best looking FF game ever made, the world design is amazing, the cutscenes are incredibly crafted, and the character designs are some of the best in the series.
The Last of Us Part I
The Last of Us Part I
Worst Art Style

Ugly-ass realism. The first game and the remaster look great, the environments really steal the show, that mix of high detail areas and 2d plants really looks great and special. This game makes me want to puke when I see it.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Worst Ending

The Verdant Wind ending specifically. I don't feel the need to explain, that route has some of the worst story ever written, it's nonsensical and always unsatisfying, and it's ending is a perfect encapsulation of that.
The Banner Saga 3
The Banner Saga 3
Least Favorite Boss Fight

The final boss of this game is incredibly underwhelming. Which is a problem when its the climax of my favorite trilogy in all of video games. You will have a character by that point that can completely cheese the whole fight, which had been built to for the entire game, as you have been hunted by the final boss for half the game basically, but when you face off it's really not that hard.
Gris
Gris
Final Game I Will Play

I think that on my deathbed will probably be when I get around to playing Gris. I've heard it's pretty good. I got it for like $3 on steam two years ago.
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Stressful Game

I'm actually a big fan of games that are mostly about stressing you out. Now THIS game. No other game can stress me out more than Lunatic or Lunatic+ mode runs of Awakening. Lunatic and Lunatic+ genuinely suck, and especially on Lunatic+ You can just lose instantly if the game wants you to. Like, suddenly Robin will just get crit twice in a row and die 2 hours into a map. Each Lunatic+ playthrough probably takes 5 years off my life.
Barnyard
Barnyard
Relaxing Game

I also like games that are calming and, whether it's for more than just nostalgia, this game never fails to relax me. Just riding around on your bike outdoors picking mushrooms and watching the sun set and then going into the barn at night time to hang out and play shitty minigames, that's the ideal game loop right there.
Dragon Age: Origins
Dragon Age: Origins
Game I've Only Ever Played Once and It Will Always Stay That Way

Yeah, I think I got everything in that 2 hours that I'll be able to get out of this game.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies
Game I Openly Hate the Most

All my irl friends have had to hear me rant about this game that they know nothing about so much. There's a lot that goes into my hatred of this game but to summarize it as best as I can: AA4 set itself up for an amazing sequel, but DD ended up dropping the ball in nearly every regard. I hate this game so much that I've been developing a fan game that replaces this game as AA5 for like a year, which shows both how pathetic and petty I am, but also how much my hatred for this game clouds my every thought.
Homeworld: Remastered Collection
Homeworld: Remastered Collection
Least Time Invested

Steam says I have 1 minute recorded on this game, and I'll be honest I don't know when that happened. I've always wanted to play it, but haven't gotten around to it. Or so I thought, but apparently at some point I played it for 1 minute before closing out of it.
