Was gonna play something else, but I saw dunkeys vid and thought ok: a nice quick platformer that I can do in a couple of nights and although I did it in a couple of nights I spent way more time because of how enthralled I was.

It’s perfect pick up and play: the platforming is smooth and doesn’t feel janky but the puzzles are what kept me going, so satisfying to figure and complete and with the amazing items they added in making it even better.

I love the feeling of the game, it feels like when you played Minecraft for the first time and your curiosity peaked, you have so many options and want to rush on to complete them all. And then you’ll fall down a rabbit hole (literally) and keep doing for another couple hours.

I got to like 5 hours in before realising there’s an actual end to this game, and then pretty much ran it through from there. Sad to say I didn’t get all the eggs but I just wanted to talk about but probably will go back and get them all

I mean I wanted like a mesh between both, building your own mafia and some turn based strategy but this really has no building of mafia and no real creativity or options for your to do.

The reason I quit this so early is really because for the first 3 hours of the game all I was told was go here and then go here and then go here, until I’d just had enough of having nothing to do.

Shockingly bad variety in the turn based combat, I mean there’s only one other thing every character can do apart from the normal attack option, and there really felt no strategy either than get behind cover and shoot.

A bad introduction to turn based strategy for me and hopefully I’ll come across better games out there.

Every time I play one of these games I’m always like ok they’ve gone too far and they’ve ruined it but once I get into it I realise they can still compete at an amazing level. The stuff they add in is really fun too like the menu addition gives you more freedom to what you can do.

The game still flowed really well, and I think the expansion of the cqc makes it so you don’t just feel like you’re running through the enemies but you can use different strategies in different ways to achieve your goal.

Decent story too I think it caps off the original trilogy in a great way because i would have much rather seen this than extension of 2 because it does connect them in a way that works well.

I’m really iffy on where to put this to be honest, in terms of it being ahead of it’s time it’s definitely the best because how did this game come out on ps2 but then again I think I had a better time with the other 2 games just because I didn’t put as much time into this as I could have.

I mean honestly I was surprised by how much time I let this game take from me but I realised the actual amount of time I played was minute compared to the amount of time I was just waiting in the lobby for a game that’s not even a year old.

But I think the wait time is reasonable when you look at the gameplay mechanics because there is 0 replayability with this game, because once you pick up on the 3 Items the victims side has to offer and a half decent character out of the 6 to choose from there’s basically nothing to do other than get some enjoyment out of leading the killers into stupid places.

With a game like this that’s only a year old tho, I’m kinda always seeing how could they improve this because it is being actively updated and I think the only thing to do is more content, more characters that you don’t have to pay for because that’s the stupidest thing ever, more maps and with those maps more map specific items and different strategies. Maybe even a way to fight the killers like Friday the 13th.

I really haven’t talked about my killer experience but since the lobby’s are so empty you either get some pro who can just escape and hide all
Game since he knows every map like the back of his hand, or sometimes you get someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing and get a false sense of gratification but most of the time you’re just wandering around or waiting at the exit for them.

I think this shows how much certain game developers are happy to completely give up on a project and just rinse and release instead of actually trying to fix it and it’s a shame really because it’s not like the game has no potential.

I really don’t get peoples love for this game because this is maybe the worst battlefield I’ve ever played, and there is so much I dislike but the main thing is the lack of creativity in the game.

I mean I always view battlefield as a sandbox shooter series with an insane amount of cool things to do and the more outside the box you think the more exciting the game is but this games seems very bare bones, barely any gadgets and vehicles per map and there’s a very clear meta of sitting in the back of the map or sitting on a flag and throwing Molotov’s. Every time I try to experiment on this game it seems I’m being severely punished.

Also just the fighting seems so slow, there are really no advantage you can take while fighting it’s all determined on who shoots first and thats it, the movement feels stagnant when jumping and crouching, the gunplay is fine but once again I feel I get no advantage.

And this might be ea at their peak micro transactions, I mean at least the newer battlefields the main things you can buy are cosmetics that don’t affect the game with this it’s a lot more heavy on spending money and there’s only 2 operations while the rest are locked.

Overall, a pretty bad experience I’m going back to v and I’ll review that soon but the smoothness of that game was night and day to this, played some of the campaign but nothing to right home about

I mean it’s fantastic but I still prefer mgs1 and for a couple of reasons which I’ll get into later. But I have to mention how revolutionary it is for ps2 and I think it improves the controls aspect of mgs1 a ton: with new improved gun controls and better accuracy makes it a much smoother experience.

One thing I noticed tho was that mgs1 is paced fantastically once you get going you’re going for the whole game but with this you do the snake part and then the game kinda kills all its momentum and resets itself for the raiden parts but to give it credit it does then pick up really well.

Surprisingly easy too and in very weird ways like some of the boss fights were just a breeze and then there’s some parts that are incredibly difficult like just crossing bridges with cyphers that never stop coming and it’s more frustrating then fulfilling.

The stuff they do with stealth tho is pretty fantastic, I mean it’s add a creative element to the game that gives you more freedom to do what you like and when faced with a difficult objective it does reward you for thinking outside the box.

I don’t know now that I’m listing the good elements of this I’m kinda tied up on what is better but I still think my experience with mgs1 was better just because it delivered it’s message in a more conscise way.

I mean it’s not usually a game for me but I really liked this, once I stuck with it and kept it going for a while I really got into this and really liked the variation you have. Because I feel the worst thing you can do with these type of games is just limit your options but I felt overwhelmed in a good way by how much I could do.

One of the big things with this is story felt very blank and dull, and the biggest thing is every character felt exactly the same I mean not everyone is kind hearted right but it just feels like every character is just the same basic personality just doing a different occupation and giving you a different task. And there’s just not that much dialogue to really branch out with who you want your character to be.

But the atmosphere is fantastic, I mean you’re just looking at a screen but still I feeling like I’m involved in every aspect of this spaceship and what it has, and the tasks are good for a space ship it really feels like you’re doing something futuristic, and the look is down perfectly.

Overall a great intro into these type of games and I hope to play more of them soon need to look into ones that are similar to this, did it in about 70+ cycles could go back to it and probably will eventually.

I mean its just so dull and lifeless , seems to have no personality and borders and boring at time, I think the only pull is the fact that they made the opponents a little more difficult but really just more annoying. Fine boss fight at the end.

I mean the word classic doesn’t even begin to cut it, because classic implies old but good but I’m confident if this came out today it would be still win all the awards. One of my favourite playthroughs ever really.

It has the feel of one of those arcade games that you literally never want to end and it doesn’t, it has a fantastic story but what makes the story so good is the boss fights which are easily the most captivating part of this game, I mean they’re all so different and use all different styles of play and feel so fulfilling to win.

I love things like the codec system and radar because it’s actually plausible for a soldier, instead of having a waypoint that lazily tells you where to go or you have to search up how to win a boss fight, you talk to your chief and listen and use your head and you can succeed.

I think the one only problem with this game is the fact the shooting is a little dated and sometimes not perfect, and the only other reason it gets 4 stars is because I’m pretty confident that 2 and 3 are better games, but for a game that came out 26 years ago it doesn’t get much better than this.

It’s a little better purely because the missions don’t feel so repetitive, and there’s some difference between them also the side missions were better too the hammerhead fronts gives you something to do, cool boss battle at the end but it isn’t that big an improvement

It’s fine, there is just like nothing there from what I’ve seen from the other two I think at least I’ll get a boss battle but for this I expected something a little more, the missions are basically just beat em ups and the collectibles have no personality other then just go and grab it, hopefully the worst of the 3

The main thing that kinda pulls me in to fully completing these open world massive games is the fluidity of the gameplay, I mean a game wirh clunky game play I’ll finish the story but with the Spider-Man everything works so well that I will happily do it over and over again.

It’s massively accessible too, for a game that’s main aim was to pull in as many people on PlayStation as possible it does it perfectly the missions are relatively easy and the things to
Collect and easy to find.

It does new things with superhero missions that I’ve never really seen before, combining really all aspects of single player games trying to create as different an experience that can be had exact time.

And it did have a big impact on gaming really by being an exclusive that people bought the console to play, and although it’s taken me this long to finish it I can still remember the hype surrounding the game and how much it was talked out, had a great time with this.
