Hydrogen Bomb vs Hydrogen Baby

Not playing this because I would never hurt a woman

Heh... This game isnt for the faint of heart ladies and gentlemen... Some call this game the dark souls of JRPGs due to its insane difficulty.... I call it dog shit because it really fucking sucks... 😈😈😈.

A white man will do anything for cat girl pussy

This game gatekeeping you with side quests to progress the main story is the equivalent as being told you can't go outside till you do some extra homework.
The story and battle system Torna has to offer is incredibly interesting, and I won't lie when I say the moments with Lora, Gin, and Mythra were very interesting - but it's all heavily guarded by side quests. You're told twice in the main game, but most notably just before the finale - that you should help the people of Torna, and you're actively forced out of story progress until you do.
It's horrible artificial padding, and it honestly didn't feel rewarding at a point because not much changed when you did them. I personally ended up skipping most of the enemies later on because the forced side quests kept me at a decent level anyway, and by then I was getting sick of the battle system.
I'm not saying Torna is bad by any means, but I am saying it has its heavy faults. You will still find plenty of joy in this package, however with Future Redeemed doing what Torna did wrong and fixing it - I think I can safely say in hindsight that this was Monolith testing the waters with Xenoblade Expansions, and I'm glad that the blunders in this campaign meant that the devs could learn from their mistakes and make side content actually worth exploring and doing in Future Redeemed.

If i was there none of this would've happened. I'd have simply intervened.

Daily reminder that this will NEVER get a Switch port.
You WILL buy a Wii U and you WILL be happy.

Torna bravely answers the question "what if we made a game that was only side quests"

Fun enough but it's really brought down by the progression system which is still really slow even after the hotfix which made it quicker. It's like they made an f2p game with microtransactions to speed things up but then stripped out the microtransactions. Core of the game is still fun though, even if I do wish that there was a quicker way to get access to more cards and characters

after spending two months playing mostly ps4/5 games, going back to a blocky, linear, grimey ps3 era game was a real treat.

but i think i gotta divorce myself from the good vibes i get from simply playing this because at heart all i did was feel like dogshit for 4 days mercilessly beating up the poor and insane. batman, it struck me for maybe the first time, is the absolute embodiment of American imperialism. superman is the pretty face and the promised ideal but batman is the guerilla by night; the tightly knit, highly efficient machine with vast resources. if his parents murder is pearl harbour, then he is the atom bomb and the influence after that.

at one point in this game, batman (and calling him Batman, like that's his name, or could be a name, like on par with Dave or Jake or something, never fails to crack me up) has to get across a large gap. so he calls in for a tool to do the job, and this tool arrives via a remote controlled drone that crashes through the glass ceiling and delivers itself. at that moment i was like Batman absolutely terrifies me.

sucks i'mma have to play three more of these but i am who i am.
