Having not owned and Xbox when I was younger most of my experience with Halo was playing Halo 1 and 2 multiplayer at friends houses which I loved. I eventually played the campaigns of both and 3 when I got an Xbox 360 and while I really enjoyed the gameplay, the story never really gripped me as much as it seemed to others. I was never a Halo superfan I guess. Anyway here's my one liner reviews of each game as I finish the campaigns:

Reach - 3/5: As above really, short and fun campaign with some great moments. Story didn't capture me again. Highlights are Nightfall and the Pillar of Autumn missions.

Absolutely phenomenal. I'm so glad my first play through was bugged 18 hours in on launch and I left it until after 2.1 to start again and finally experience the real Cyberpunk.

Overall a good metroidvania with some fun platforming and mechanics but I could definitely do without the anime influence and the completely C grade voice acting and dialogue where characters completely ignore some wild stuff. I feel like there could have been a decent story in there somewhere

This is definitely in my top 3 metroidvania games I've played and probably second only to Hollow Knight to be honest.
- Great, fluid platforming and exploration
- Fantastic sound design
- Absolutely beautiful, I'd happily retire in the Luma Pools if I could
- If I could have built your house sooner I would have little Moki family :'(

The first act definitely gets 5/5 stars. That was a brilliant experience and I'm very glad I went into it with assumptions that were totally wrong.

One of my favourite trilogies of all time. Never gets old. :')

2018

- Incredible art, attention to detail, characters, setting
- Brilliant first act, good second act, meandering third act that wraps up fantastically
- Torn between a 3.5 and a 4 because while it was a wonderful game/story and a clear labour of love, I do feel it could have been more concise and I'd have probably enjoyed it more if I had greater prior knowledge of the themes and setting
- Absolutely worth playing however

Overall good. Great visual and audio design. Some frustrating enemies but could have been exacerbated by me playing it when I was really unwell. Hate those dudes who jump and charge at you
