Wow. Okay, having put over 80 hours into it and finishing the story, I think I have a new game in my favorites list. Forbidden West is everything Zero Dawn was and more. Putting aside the jaw dropping open world and visuals, it's the story, the characters and the relationships that made me really love this. And I can't wait for what's to come next in this franchise. Guerrilla's knocked it out of the park.
I started this a while back and never went back to it until recently because the first few hours weren't that interesting to me. But I decided to give it another chance as Forbidden West is coming out soon and boy, I loved it. I don't know what changed this time around but the story, the world, the characters were all great. My only big complaint is that during the optional conversation moments the animation of the characters wasn't particularly realistic all the time. Hope they improve that in the sequel. Other than that, love Aloy and her journey was amazing to go through. Can't wait for Forbidden West.
I've honestly lost count of how many hours I put into this. Putting aside the gargantuan and awe-inspiring open world and the epic story, the reason why this game became my favorite game of all time is because of Arthur Morgan, who is the greatest protagonist I've ever seen in a video game. I loved playing as him and his redemption is so powerful. I've rarely cried in a video game, but everytime I play this, I cry my eyes out. Rockstar made a masterpiece and for me it's going to be hard to top this one.
A fantastic game. As a huge fan of the 2018 Spider-Man, this game was everything I wanted it to be. Although the campaign is not long, it has enough emotional power and at the same time so much fun to play that it manages to be more than a great time. Miles is so much fun to play as, his movements are on point. His new abilities add so much depth to the combat and actually makes you think about your approach in combat. Overall, I'm satisfied although it's doesn't have to be a full priced game. I can't wait to see what Insomniac does with this franchise in the future.
