This game had it rough from the beginning. Over 20 years after the last game with a somewhat loyal small fanbase, that wanted to experience Gungrave again. I am not one of them but informed myself about the franchise to understand it.
Nonetheless G.O.R.E is objectively a bad game and with all the delays and weird studio composition of korean and japenese people, it has all the jank, bad game design and the simpliest gameplay imaginable nowadays.
First a weird sense of nostalgia for older generations like on PS2 and Xbox360 this becomes stale really fast and is just a shooting range with extra steps.
Despite that i somehow got caught up in the flow of the game from time to time and it was a good time waster with things running in the background.
And you gotta give credit to the developers when they patched the game after release and just cut the worst part of the game: the plattforming sections and some instant death traps.
That and making an extra character playable (which sadly doesn't change much gameplay wise) is kinda rare nowadays and is nice of them.
But you can't fix something that was shit from the beginning, sadly.
Gungrave remains an interesting edgy character and universe with no real good games. Sadge

The best game there is and maybe there ever will be. Just all around perfect in my humble opinion.
And no, i don't have nostalgia for it since i played it being 16 years old to experience this classic i have heard so much about and well ... it holds up and took me on the most impressive fictional journey i ever had!

To this day easily my favourite racing game. It is just arcady fun and the city and mountains you can explore together with the music have so much character. I love the atmosphere of this game and while it has its flaws, it is just plain fun!

Maybe the most fun i ever had with a game! DMC 5 is a love letter to the whole franchise and celebrates the highs of DMC 1, 3 and 4 so good! An amazing comeback for the series and for me even better than DMC 3.
Excellent character action game!
Excellent soundtrack!
And heartwarming and hype story if you love the characters. Definitely a game for the DMC fans.

Such a unique world and story! And masterfully implemented gameplay by Platinum Games that shifts genres all the time to keep it always fresh.
One of the few games whose story truly grabbed me and had me on the edge of my seat like almost none other did.
And the true Ending with its own unique mechanic made me feel truly connected to the fans of this game all around the world and gave me a sense of community that i never felt before and immersed me in the story even more.

Best Spider-Man game! At least until we get the sequel :D
It felt never better to swing through New York and truly BE Spider-Man. Great costumes and comic references, fitting combat with awesome finishers, a lot of cool gadgets and a great story and iconic characters to finish it off.

A reall underrated DBZ game in my opinion. Probably since it came out so late into the PS2s lifespan but overall it just perfected which made Budokai 3 so good of a DBZ game.
Gameplay is even more refined and the story mode has ares with exploration and awesome quicktime/rhythm events to simulate the training sessions even better.
Sadly a more unkown DB game even midst Dragon Ball fans.

2022

THIS. This is the game that i always dreamed of since being a kid that loved everything martial arts.
Sifu is just a playable Kung-Fu movie that is as cinematic and awesome as how good you are in the game.
Character action, counters mixed together with rogue like elements make Sifu a really challenging but also really fun game, that is a martials arts fans wet dream.
And once you master it and do an almost perfect run you truly feel like one of the big martial arts legends, we all know and love.
If it wasn't for Elden Ring in 2022 this would have taken GOTY for me.

My first Persona and to this day my favourite in the series

Amazing soundtrack, story, characters and style! But that is what the Persona series is all known for at this point.
But i just can't help to find 4s story and characters just much more sympathetic and intriguing than 5s. (haven't played 1, 2 or 3 yet)

Also, Chie best girl

My favourite fighting game and Dragon Ball game.
As a fighting game it has the potential for the hypest moments and sickest of combos and character combinations. Visually the game is just crazy!
It looks straight up like the anime or even better and also feels like it with the fast paced fighting gameplay.
And once you understand the simple but deep mechanics it becomes an addicting joy to play again and again!

As an anime an manga fan of most of these IPs i feel offended and disgusted by this game.
And i can't comprehend how people actually find this good and played it for a longer time. HOW?!

The fusion of souls-like and anime seemed like a dream come true to me but Code Vein sadly isn't it. The concept is so weird and feels out of place with a post apocalyptic/vampire setting.
The attacks just lack impact and feel so blant and weak. I felt bored playing this game all the way for the 5 hours or so i checked it out.

I played three matches and then deleted it.
I don't get how MOBAs are fun?
I hate this artstyle.
And apparently it has one of the worst and most toxic communites, yay! What a shit show of a game.
The more i hear about this over the years, the more i hate it.
LOL is a fitting acronym for this game since it is just a real laughing matter how this can be this successfull.

This game just blew my mind ...
So creative, crazy and a strong artstyle with an amazing story and gameplay, really make this a wild ride.
The plottwists really got me and i loved the message this game has. One of the most mesmerizing finales i ever had in a game.
A real masterpiece that made me understand why people hold Hideo Kojima in such high regard. He really is a unique visionary like no other in the games industry.

I'll make it short: Easiest 10/10 ever
Can't wait for Eldest Ring and more of John Ring's adventures
