all of the content from the original game is as perfect as always but i was disappointed to find out the special edition content was not made by heart machine but instead a completely different studio (abylight studios) and mostly only consisted of one 5-10 minute area with a boss fight at the end of it which was way harder than literally everything else in the base game. they did add a couple new guns which were cool (even though you can't upgrade them for some reason) but the fact that it was all stuff made by a different team of developers made it feel like i was playing fan-made modded pieces of content as opposed to experiencing new officially added components of the game. regardless though hyper light drifter still is a fantastic game at its core, with tight, fast gameplay and rewarding exploration set against an absolutely beautiful backdrop, and despite the lackluster new additions of this edition itself, i would still recommend any version of the game to anyone any day.

unless it was like a evil version of the game or something that'd be a different set of circumstances

played this for the first time when i was 6 and i legitimately sincerely think i haven't played a worse video game since

nobody on this website has even played this game including me because i was too scared to ever play it as a kid (idk why) and i forced my older brother to play it for me instead

this did not make me an instant artist

my connection was pretty shit this season until the last 2 weeks or so, couldn't really play as much as i wanted as a result but had fun when i wasn't lagging lol. the grapple blade is one of the most fun items they've ever made

what if we made a new plants vs zombies game but made it bad

what other game has iron man AND captain america? i think that says it all...

i feel like i'm crazy every time i see somebody rank this as one of the best entries in the series, maybe i'm lacking nostalgia that people might have or maybe it just never ended up clicking with me but i felt like the combat was pretty clunky and badly aged and the story was mostly uninteresting except for the beginning and end kinda. at least it set up god of war 3 to be sick as hell

the wheel of death was the greatest test of skill 10 year old me had ever faced and still may be greater than most i've faced since then

finally the apex legends killer is here

if i played this after tears of the kingdom i'd probably have rated it 4 stars but it gets the extra .5 just for nostalgia of exploring the map for the first time when i first played it. wish there were more scenes with daruk in it though that would have maybe been another extra .5

game is honestly very fun until the developers remember that elden ring sold a lot of copies and then they throw you a random boss fight which is a huge spike in difficulty compared to all the regular gameplay before and after it

a rare case in which the game is more fun the worse you are at it

i wish the type matchups mattered in these games past the halfway mark, once my pokemon started being a few levels higher on average against everything i was facing there was just no challenge left unfortunately

would have probably rated it higher if the online servers for the game weren't powered by a man turning a crank in the attic of sakurai's office and if nintendo didn't fine you $50,000 if somebody purchases a sandwich at a tournament you run for it
