This game is so fucking weird. A video game where the bit is you have to wait in real time for things to happen. Every action takes forever on purpose. Even down to moving your character.

𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩.

This game's core moveset is taken advantage of very well and feels great to perform. Platforming is a good challenge and isn't too obnoxious thanks to the checkpoint system.

The lack of a totals screen is really weird and can get annoying when trying to track down one singular cube you're missing.

Imagine removing item shops in favor of random capsule machines that give you:
A. a trap that you can land on yourself.
B. an item that costs money to use on yourself 💀

The minigames CARRY this game. Only 2 boards out of 7 that I would call good.

Very ambitious and has great ideas. Getting to where you need to be in huge levels takes forever due to banjo moving at the same speed as the first game.
Terrydactly land and Glittergulch mine are a slog to get through 💀.

What happens when you mix Brawl's excellent singleplayer with Melee's great movement?

YOU WIN.

So much jank... But I wouldn't have it any other way...

After getting used to the games controls, it is the most free flowing and fun game in the series.

Very bare bones, but still a blast to play.

Brawl has the best single player content in the series, but falls flat when it comes to the actual FIGHTING part. Still fun though...

i am having a heart attack please help me

There is no reason to go back to this game unless you want to play the FIRE battle mode.

This game has clunky controls and half the tracks are forgettable. Drifting was improved heavily in Double Dash and future games.

Every board is either too boring, or flat out awful. Usually when a mario party game has bad boards the minigames pick up the slack. That being said, MP1 easily has the worst minigames in the series.

Despite all of this... I love the chaos this game creates and would gladly play it anytime LOL
