This along with the Persona 2 duology definitely have the potential to be the best in the franchise with how interesting the story and characters are, however the gameplay ruins everything. It's extremely unfun and confusing, could've easily been fixed if the grid system was gone and demon fusion and negotiations were normal like how they are in literally every other shin megami tensei game. Unless you're really interested in finding out how this great series started I think you should avoid.

Better then you'd might expect. You can definitely tell Square Enix learned from their mistakes with Avengers since this game improves on it in literally every way. I really wish this game didn't flop because of that fact, we could've very easily gotten a marvel game from Square Enix that matches or even surpassed the excellency of Insomniacs Marvel games, but I don't see that being possible now unfortunately.

If the game looks fun to you, then you will definitely have fun with it. Worth checking out the trailer if you're interested.

There were definitely some things I was personally disappointed by, mainly how short the game is, and how despite the concept and gameplay begging for it for it, no multiplayer whatsoever. Even though those two things were disappointing, I still had fun with the game and don't regret buying it, might even go back to platinum it one day.

I think this game is absolutely amazing, definitely worth playing if you're a fan of platformers, and if you liked the first one then this one will be much much better, imo better then the first and an easy 10

I played this game when I was around 5, and played it again and again almost a decade later and each and every time it was a 10/10. Damn good reason it's my favorite game of all time, and I will continue to play it over and over again with every re-release

2020

My thoughts on this game keep changing, but I feel now it arrived at a somewhat definitive spot. The game is definitely good don't get me wrong, and the story is absolutely fantastic...outside the headspace. The headspace is more interesting to me in concept then execution, it definitely is good in some spots, particularly the junkyard, and Humphrey's stomach, but at the other points it kinda slogs as opposed to outside of it which has some of the strongest story moments I've seen in any video game. Outside headspace kept me engaged the entire time I was in that area while in some areas in headspace I felt myself falling asleep. All in all the story is absolutely the strongest aspect and even if you aren't into rpgs this is definitely a game you should play for the story alone, it really carries the entire package, but it's still not as great as to play in some places as I hoped it would be.

The game really does live up to what people say about it. If you can play the game blind. It's usually a good experience with every game but for this one it's especially the case. But it's definitely one of the better 2d platformers I've played and well worth your time if you're into platformers of any kind. The ending sets up the possibility for an entire franchise perfectly and I'm really hoping that now after Phantasy Reverie Series we can finally have a proper franchise for Klonoa. And as for the ending the game sets up an excellent facade while making sure it makes sense and isn't a tonal shift. Please play if you can, it's nice and quick and well worth your while

I like this game more then the original. And if you know the reception behind the original twewy, that's saying a lot

This game goes hard as hell, highly recommended. Jupiter of the Monkey is the best brand btw 🥱

Absolutely underrated, even if you aren't a rhythm game fan you should still give this a try

This is probably my least favorite game of all time, unironically. There are absolutely objectively worse games I've played but this is my personal least favorite. An overly confusing and easy to break battle system, a bland story with paper thin characters, and sandwiched between the most influential Final Fantasy, and my favorite Final Fantasy. Avoid.
