An expansion of one of the greatest FPS games ever made. Opposing force tells the story of the game from the perspective of the enemy with a whole lot of new original weapons for the game. The only problem this game suffers from is the plot is nonexistent.

The game has the same fast paced action as the original, so the gameplay is high quality. The new weapons are a welcome addition too, especially the portal gun which can be used to recharge health and ammo by going to a different place. The new rope and crew mechanics are there but are hardly used in actual gameplay.

The bad part of the game is definitely the lack of a central plot. Shepard wants to get out of Black Mesa but is he even doing something about? It seems like he is wandering aimlessly around Black Mesa. Even Blue Shift had a better sense of plot progression like how we hear about Rosenberg, find him, do what he tells us to do. The second thing is probably Race X. I wish they just added more Xen lifeforms, instead of a completely new race that hasn't been explained enough through the side lore material.

Overall, a decent expansion.

A short and sweet expansion of the original game that utilizes the same assets as before except for maybe 2 new NPC models.

The game is incredibly short, almost movie length. You can easily complete it in two sessions. There are fewer enemy types and even fewer weapons as compared to the original, but Barney Calhoun doesn't have a PhD in ass kicking like my main man Freeman.

The game is decent enough, but I feel the puzzles and atmosphere weren't up to the mark of the original, but they were close enough. It's a cool, short side story for the original game. Totally worth playing!

In a world where we have two active wars going on what's a better way to play a game that represents exactly what goes on during those battles. I wish I could say this game is a hilarious stereo type of modern warfare but after seeing so many real-life videos of active conflicts this game feels less and less like a parody. Honestly, the game still is a slightly hilarious parody of modern warfare that is actually fun to play.

This is an expansion pack of the previous Generals. This time we get a new campaign for each of the three returning factions and each campaign contains 5 missions. I wish the campaigns were longer as we don't really get to experience the units each faction provides enough. For example, we get an airbase in the US campaign only in the last mission, that's kind of disappointing because the airbase is the best US building. There are new buildings, units and general power for each faction.

The gameplay is amazing and fun. I don't have much experience with RTS games, but the game feels great, and the rock/paper/scissors aspect of the units is good.

Overall, a very fun game to play that also looks and sounds good.

What an absolutely atmospheric game. I played a slightly upgraded version (sourceNext/ClassicRebirth patch). This version had win10 support, slightly better textures/resolution and controller support with vibration.

The game itself is great, the locations are very atmospheric. Walking around the police station which is the main location of the game and hearing only the hum of machinery and your own footsteps is kind of chilling.

The game has two characters with their own campaigns and alternate campaigns that you unlock after completing one of the main campaigns. I am going to declare firmly that you should start the game with Claire A and then play Leon B. That way Sherry's life is more at stake in Claire A and in Leon B you get to take on two bosses plus get to kiss Ada lol.
The only problem with the game is the weird controls. The character moves like a tank and it was a little tough getting used to it while playing it with the Dpad.

Overall, the story was perfect, the gameplay was good, easy and satisfying. Ammunition and health were abundant, the locations were memorable. A perfect game from start to finish.

An arcade game with just a single style of gameplay which is picking up passengers and dropping them off at different spots in two open world cities. The game's premises might seem very simple, but it still manages to make a very memorable experience with its vibrant colors, wacky collision physics, punk rock soundtrack and just an overall chaotic fun vibe.
The game has two modes called original and arcade. Arcade contains the city that was featured on the arcade version of the game and original contains the city featured in the later ported version of the game. Both cities look exactly the same, it's just that the layout is a bit different and maybe a few landmarks like train stations and waterways.
The game has bright colorful punk energy. The punk rock soundtrack by Bad Religion and Offspring probably makes it so. Along with the stereotypical passengers/drivers and absolutely fun car collisions that don't do any damage. Overall, this game is very fun, there's no story mode or campaign it's just 5-10 minutes of fun at a time but the game has a solid theme and personality.

IGI is a game that is like an arcade version of ARMA the game mechanics definitely feel like a MilSim but the level design and A.I feel like a standard fps. I really wish I could give it a higher score since the game's graphics, Ost, level design and physics are great but boy is the game difficult. You have huge maps that can take half an hour to clear but there isn't a save function. So, if you fail at the end of the mission; good luck you're starting all over again. That's why I couldn't beat the final level. Paired with the horrible A.I that shoots you as soon as they see you and your health ends with just a few shots; this game is very hard to beat.
There are a lot of good things about the game too, the cold grey color grading and graphics look great and set a perfect mood, the suspense filled Ost is some of the best stealth game music I've ever heard, and the game's vast open level design is great.
Overall, a game that is pretty technically impressive for its time but is a hard time-consuming mess.

An open world racing game with great destructible player and opponent vehicles. Midtown Madness really can be described as chaotic and filled with mayhem. The game has a really vibrant and memorable city with different classes of vehicles. The biggest gripe of this game is the absolutely terrible handling this game offers. The cars can be easily oversteered with just a slight press of the arrow key or controller stick, lowering the physics slider in the car selection page does help a little in reducing the oversteer. The best part of the game is the destruction that can be caused in checkpoint races. I've won so many races by using the bus to block roads and watch ai opponents collide in me and get wrecked.
Overall, a very fun open world game with some bad car handling. I used a patched repack version of the game running with something called open1560. It runs perfectly fine on Win10.

I played the SE version which has a few more cars and tracks I believe. The game is a very arcade-y racing game. Even though you can select modes and I selected the simulation mode, it still feels very arcade like. The cars are interesting as most of these are exotic concept cars and the tracks are very fun. The best thing about this game is probably the thematic tracks in different locations around the world.
The things that I hate about the game are: first it is very difficult to beat the knockout race. I've been trying for a week now, maybe it's been years since I played a racing game or used a controller (oh yeah, my patched version seems to work with an Xbox 360 controller). I did everything from driving manual and using braking/engine braking properly and following racing lines but still couldn't beat the game. The soundtrack is a bit arcade like 90's heavy metal with world music influences based on the track (though Mystic peaks sound track absolutely slaps).
In the end this was a really fun game to play, since this is abandonware I found a repack version with all the patches pre applied (Magipack). Finally, this is a nostalgic game for most people, I don't think it's worth playing in this era, you should just play it for the memories.

This game opens up with a hilarious intro “In the modern world great leaders resolve their conflict with words like…….SCUD LAUNCHER……CARPET BOMBING…….TOMAHAWK MISSILE”.
The game feels like a lowkey parody of modern conflict and the war on terror. We’ve got detention camps, suicide bombers and angry mobs. This is the only time I’ve ever played an RTS game and I have to say I quite enjoyed it. The part of the allure of this game is the real-life factions, equipment and vehicles. As a kid I completely loved the US faction because of the jets but playing this as an edgy adult I absolutely love the GLA faction and its units. On the downside I felt the missions were too little and too short, I didn’t even get to make a scud launcher and nuke during the entire playthrough just because of how quickly every mission ended.
I absolutely adore this game. Some of the vehicles are based on real life, at least the planes that I know of f22, f117, Mig 1.44, Comanche. There are unique vehicles and infantry in each faction with some interesting skills. I'd also like to mention the OST as well, the orchestral music slaps hard. America has epic orchestral with rock guitar at times, GLA has Arabic/South Asian ethnic music mixed in and China has its own ethnic instruments mixed over the orchestral pieces. Overall, this is a very fun albeit a bit short game with just seven missions for each faction.

Till this day the game packs a punch. It's great at the start, pretty exciting during the middle and kind of drags on during the final levels. The weapons, enemies and level design are pretty good. It holds up really well even today. Black Mesa was an excellent location. The labs, industrial areas and open alleys were really atmospheric but the final Xen levels were kind of boring. The enemy soldier AI was fantastic, and the alien enemies had some unique powers.
Overall, amazing game that's still very fun to play in 2024.
