Pure dopemine.
Almost no real gameplay other than moving around. The real reason why it's so much fun is due to the absurd combos and builds you can make and the progression.
Just when you think you've seen everything this game has a new update comes out with an entirely unique new thing to the game and then you're back in and playing for another hour or two!
This game is pure crack and I can't get away from it. Not that I'd even want to :)

Oh boy I wanted to like this game, however there are so many issues with it, firstly the framerate is horrendous, however I played on an emulator and it may be slightly better on PS3. Now the big one Gameplay was mid at best, aiming at times was so annoying as the character wouldn’t aim at the enemy and it felt so choppy and slow, the fact each character has one entrance to the quarantine zone is so stupid and annoying especially when you have to make your way through hordes of zombies, which gets boring and annoying for substories to get from point A to point B. Each character played the exact same which im not a huge fan of and I feel like each one could have had a unique ability,

Its such a shame that the gameplay sucks as the story was great and meeting characters again was great and when 2 characters meet up near the end it was easily the best moment of the game. Unlike your typical zombie game it was manmade and the main antagonist was interesting and made me hate him at the same time. Ryujis story was super sad at the end and developed his character a lot.

I hope this game gets a remake and fixes everything I had wrong with it and maybe get help from a dev team that makes 3rd person shooters, however for now I cant give it higher then a 3/5 mainly for the story carrying the entire game. It took about 28 hours to beat as I went for every substory which was fun as usually in these games, aside from running to the other side of the quarantine zone for lots of them.

Just finished for the first time. And the samus clone scene was scary.

I'm genuinely surprised to see this have such a low overall score! I thought people liked these silly "escape the baddies" style jumpscare-ridden horror games.

But apparently I'm in the minority who still appreciates these for what they are - the video game equivalent of a shlocky B-movie.

You know the deal. You can't make noise (in the game, you can scream as much as you want in real life) or the designated "scary bad guy" character will move to your general direction. You have to find pieces of a figurative puzzle to escape before you get caught.

The AI is not great, but I wouldn't want t to be. Sure, it just hears a noise in this room but I'm glad it's not typically smart enough to look in the only hiding spaces available.

The speed run scene of Granny is absolutely ridiculous, too, if you're into that sort of thing.

I know most people aren't going to read this, but if you do then that's awesome!

I'm gonna try and be as in-depth as possible as to why I really dislike the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
This isn't meant to discourage you or belittle you if you like the game, I implore you to have as much fun with it as possible. My opinions are my own as I have been playing the original Re4 for upwards of 10 years now, so I'm going to be rather biased by default.

Firstly, I wanna talk about the positives/the things the remake does better:

-The shooting range
I love how much more involved it is this time around. While I miss collecting the little bottle caps and earning money for it, the weapon charms are a neat addition that adds a different bit of flavor to the game. I just wish it wasn't set up as a gacha mechanic

-Ashley and Luis
Despite some of the complaints I have seen about voices and what not, I actually really enjoyed how these two characters were handled. Ashley acts a lot like a goofy little sister type of character towards Leon, and I think some of her annoying lines actually help to elevate that feeling. Luis gets a better backstory, more screentime, and has some fun personality clashes with Leon.

-The Treasures, and the gemstone system
Hoarding treasures to stuff gems into them was a really enjoyable part of the original Re4, and I like how it was handled in the remake. Holding onto various different stones until you found treasures you can stick in them to earn insane profit is really fun and gives off more of an adventurer vibe, tho that may be more of a me thing since I'm a gemstone collector irl.

-The Mercenaries
Despite my distaste for how capcom handled the amount of content the base version has, the gameplay for mercenaries is really fun this time around. It reminds me a lot of RE5, but doesn't have as much content. The characters are all distinctly different from each other and fit very specific playstyles. I just wish it had co op.

Now for the negatives, which I have a lot of issues with:

-Lack of any real charm
The remake feels like a more restrained, and sanded down version of the original in many different ways. In capcoms attempt to make it a more grounded survival horror game with realistic elements, many different things were cut out to reduce the action. The killdozer, the ceiling trap, running on the bridge away from the mecha Salazar. As a result it makes the whole thing feel more like a parody of the original. The Remake also removes the part from the original where the villains hack into Leon's radio and start making fun of him, which was one of the more hilarious parts of the original.

-Inconsistent hit stun on higher difficulties
This is the biggest issue I have with this game and whoever gave this the greenlight completely missed the point of the original. On hard-core and professional, enemies will take multiple bullets to the body and act like it didn't affect. This is NOT how they should've handled these difficulties because it makes shooting at them to stop their attacks feel completely pointless unless you have a shotgun, or an automatic weapon. In the original, every bullet that connects with an enemy has an effect of some kind. They are firearms, that's what they do, and it rewarded players for having good aim. This just makes the difficulties feel more like RNG and it completely kills the fun.

-Removal of the laser sight
This ties into my issue with the gameplay. I know it still exists, but only being available on two very specific guns in the entire game is incredibly dumb. I hate the new reticle that the remake has, it worked better in the 2 remake due to how that game was structured.

-The movement, and the controls themselves
I've been playing this remake since it launched, and I just really do not like the way it controls. You tell Leon to move one direction, and it takes him a few seconds to actually respond to the command. You tell him to throw something and he will actively refuse to throw it unless you tell him multiple times. You also feel incredibly slowed down in this version, like Leon's got cinderblocks strapped to his feet and he's trying to move through a swamp. The movement in Remake 2 and Remake 3 felt perfectly fine, so idk what happened.

-Unnecessary exposition
This is a big problem I have with the game from the intro sequence, all the way down to the final boss. There is so much unnecessary dialogue in this game that it feels like it's trying to hold the players hand at all times to tell them each and every exact detail about Leon's life, and even as far as to having bosses do nothing talk to you during the entire battle. Salazar, Krauser, and Saddler all constantly talk to you during the entire fight with no real way to interrupt them unless you shut the voice volume off. This could've easily been fixed by keeping the ability to have them hack Leon's comms and talk outside of the fights.

Overall, I understand this is simply the result of me being stuck in the past, but I genuinely wanted to like this game for what it was, and for the most part, I did enjoy my time with it, but I cannot sit and say that I will be playing anymore of it in the future. Once all the challenges are done (I have like one left at the time of me writing this) I'll play mercenaries a little longer, but then that's it. I will not be playing this game any further after that and I hope you understand.
That being the case I do hope you've been having fun with the remake, and I'd love to hear how you feel about it, and about a lot of the points I've made!
Have a good day!

sotn has remained one of my absolute favorite games since i was 13 and discovering it was akin to the second fucking coming... and it STILL is! some of the coolest art direction and compositions on the psx combined with an air-tight and brilliantly designed first half. obviously yeah, okay, the second major area is a bit lopsided and difficult to traverse but fucking hell if it's not fun to feel totally busted near the end of the game and just rampage through the back half. the corny voice acting and compressed audio makes the experience. still my favorite game in this genre for sure. DARK METAMORPHOSIS!

Osu!

2007

game makes you sell your soul to be able to atleast attempt the next star rating. i swear i've sold my sould 10x over just to enjoy the game

2K. Did. Did you just make a good wrestling game TWO YEARS in a row?!

Holy shit. This game is so good. It's taken everything from the previous game and expanded on it very well this year. New options for MyGM, a funky showcase and even a new match type: WARGAMES! (God I love it when Regal says that.)

Showcase is so much fun and different this time. Instead of just playing John Cena's best matches, you actually play as Cena's greatest rivals and beat him in every match. That's fun and it works well with Cena's message throughout this showcase: Never Give Up. (Super Cena slaps by the way.)

MyRise is...goofy again. I enjoyed last year's more cause it felt more authentic for a CAW getting into the WWE. But this year's feels more gimmicky with the Lock storyline.

It's as if Vince McMahon was secretly pulling the strings when making this MyRise this year. (He's still pulling strings in WWE, let's be fucking honest.)

WarGames is such a fun match to play. I think it's my favourite match type so far on this game because of the destruction and chaos that can be unleashed in this game. I do hope they expand on the mechanics for next year as with more development, this match can be something truly special in the games.

So yeah. WWE 2K23 is even stronger as the tagline says. There's a few glitches and bugs and I do get the odd crash but the quality is very strong. I really hope now for the next game they expand more on mechanics and add even more matches. (I'd love to see First Blood or Buried Alive come back next year!) If they carry on expanding and listening to the audience, I think next year's game will be just as great.

Now. When's that AEW Game coming out? Feels like we've been waiting for that forever? But then again, considering the quality of how AEW is now. I'd probably just rather save my breath asking for it. Kek.

The cutest and most fun game on the Nintendo 64 using a bear and bird has never been so much fun!

Nachdem ich eine Partie ohne ein einziges Minispiel abschloss, hatte ich das Bedürfnis dieses Spiel zu verbrennen.

After I played a game without a single mini-game, I felt the need to burn that game .

Was honestly a bit surprised with how much I enjoyed Wario Land 2, given its shift from traditional, level-by-level platforming to a more puzzle orientated style of play. The game isn't without issues; the concept of Wario being immortal serves to add a kind of obnoxious handicap to otherwise easy boss fights, and the method of acquiring the game's treasure and map had to have been designed by an insane person, but the level design, interesting puzzles and shockingly high replayability were more than enough to make up for it. I'll be sure to go for 100% in due time, but I don't wanna be only playing Wario Land 2 for the next month.

(This is for the 4 gb games all around)

1 is aight nothing crazy

2 is a massive leap in quality

3 is absolutely fantastic

4 kicks all types of ass and I adore it

Bring the series back Nintendo this is highly under appreciated. I need to play Shake It! at somepoint.

Absolute top tier platformers

NieR, Killer7 and Dark Souls dream of being deeper than this game.

Have a Pepsi!
