would do anything for more games to have great multiplayer like this 1

fun concept! cluncky controls and mechanics at times- loved the references to a few shows etc.

its no double dash but its close

One of the most amazing narratives I have ever consumed in any medium- I couldn't believe the intertextuality and genius nature of this game. truly felt like I was reading a classic gothic novel- but even better. the visuals are amazing and resonate on such a wonderful level. the atmosphere is as forbidding as ever. the commentary on generational trauma and hereditary issues goes unbelievably hard. the lore is wild the pacing is amazing- each chapter had me on the edge of my seat. I hope to be making things half as wonderful as this game one day.

This game walked so fire watch and Edith finch could run. This game had me on the edge of my seat investigating everything I could- and yes I cried at the end. I'm a sucker for a so-called "walking simulator" that speaks on identity, family and has a spooky air about it. need to replay soon.

this and night in the woods will always be my favourite games- which tells you a lot about my game preferences I guess haha. If you didn't like the ending- you need to look at this game for what it is- a smart narrative that makes the player evaluate their own desire to escape via video games. Genius level writing. Meta ass writing. This will be studied in university classes one day when games are finally given the same academic respect as novels and films. It is great- the choice to isolate Henry and have the radio mechanic as your main connection sells the game. couldn't turn away and cant wait to play the developer commentary version.

Really loved this game- finished in one sitting. i'm partial to spooky dialogue and choice mechanic based games. I cant wait to replay to see what changes or doesn't change based on my choices. great concept great thought provoking content- great art style and great mechanics :)

Great horror game- great capitalist commentary. amazing visual narrative with minimal dialogue needed.

This is officially my most fav game of all time. I will forever think about this game and I will continue to replay it at least once per year. this game is what made me fall in love with video games as a vessel for storytelling and art, beyond just something for socializing and fun. I am in love with the midwestern/rustbelt gothic. The queer subtext. the depersonalization. the spooky story. the generational trauma. the GAMEPLAY - people will call this a "walking simulator" but this is a game of discovery. this is a game about caring and searching- about seeking out ways to integrate into the community and care for your friends and neighbours. it is a game about community and personal strife and healing. as a queer mentally ill person who almost dropped out of university in my final year- as someone who's family hails from an ex mining town- everything about this game is pertinent and important to me. PLAY THIS GAME

Amazing. show stopping. addictive. Bring back games with endless deaths and lives. bring back games who focus equally on emotion/narrative AND gameplay/mechanics. Beautiful pixel art- great concise vision. Trans Canadian community does it again.

really great for a quick play through- great emotions, concepts and narrative. good one to play when you are feeling down :)

for what this game is it is quite amazing. it is small and bare bones but full of heart and emotion. great concept and good quick pick up for those who like narrative games/dialogue heavy games.

twin peaks-esque mystery game that I couldn't put down. Loved the narrative- reminded me of some of my fav childhood point and clicks but more spooky. Real has the energy of a campy sci-fi/horror B film in the best way possible. Almost had a Coraline like feel with the stop motion too. great game.

One of the first games I played after picking up gaming again as an adult and it couldn't have been a better choice. will always love retuning to this to adventure around and feel all the emotions. I wish more people would make small scale open world games like this.

all time banger of a game
