This is like a cool Disney ride through Hogwarts and it's neighborhood. You can see the sights, creatures, and references to your favorite moments from Harry Potter... and that's about it. The combat gets boring within like 3 hours, the story is honestly just an excuse for you to visit the aforementioned cool sights. The open world is RIDICULOUSLY bloated with shitty open-world collectibles. Overall it's nice enough of a time for me to recommend it, especially if you are into Harry Potter, but this game overall is really nothing special.

Holy shit, this is awful. I literally can't believe THIS reached a 3.9/5 average rating on this website, have I just played something completely different? Well, let me tell you what I played. I played a game with a very boring setup, soulless characters, and one that has not been playtested in the slightest.

The characters are so boring to listen to man, Ratchet and Clank are "Disney-fied" husks of their former selves. I played and watched plenty of "E for Everyone" media that had more interesting plots and characters, so this surely is not the issue at hand. Case and point: the pre-reboot Ratchet and Clank games.

The game looks spectacular, and the gameplay is the standard 'shoot and move' Ratchet and Clank affair, which is solid.

None of that matters at the end because within 2 hours of playing this, the majority of which is just different tutorials, I managed to fall out of the map a couple of times, lose any collisions with objects other than ground, and go out of bounds where the game checkpointed me in a spot that essentially soft-locked me. I have beaten Ratchet Deadlocked about 15 times as a child and a teenager. I went through every game from this IP's early days. NEVER have I encountered so many bugs stacked on top of each other. And certainly, never have I ever encountered bugs in this series that soft-locked me. Why would I continue to play this unfinished piece of shit that lacks any of the aspects that made other games in this series any fun? Why is this game's rating so high despite it being like this? I guess I will never know because I'm just swiftly moving on.
