A beautiful cooperative game that is, mostly, pretty dull. It's nice to look at the water and go "goddamn, that water looks great" and if you can get a crew together to sail the seas it's not bad, it's just usually very mindless. Sail places, get ashore, get some treasure, maybe kill a skeleton or some such along the way. I have had no grander pirate adventure in my time with the game, but I've heard tell of those who have. While those tales can be thrilling, my voyages have been okay at best.

modding eurobeat into this game is probably one of the better ideas i've had in my life

i didnt like the changes to defense in this game at all as it feels really bad to me personally as it feels more like rock paper scissors on if you happen to pick the right attack to counter your enemies as opposed to being patient and deflecting or sidestepping attacks and going in for the kill like in bushido blade 1, but the huge roster and better graphics/sound quality and other quality improvements makes it a great game. Still prefer 1 personally but its an amazing game and a solid sequel.

Furry woe is me game made for and by privileged people who don't want to accept that they're mediocre with no real struggles and should get a job instead of waiting for someone to fix their annoying ass.

Doesn't help that the ending shows that none of Mae's problems are her fault and it's actually Cthulhu himself hindering her life and making her insane so no one gets to criticize her because all this time she was being controlled by unknown forces she can't understand.

Dumb metaphor, get over yourself you stupid cat.

So, what's the message here? Don't go out and have fun? Always keep your phone on? These kind of things happen and people do feel responsible afterwards wondering if they should have done anything different. Of course, it is important to listen. And some of the options one has in what to say or do might make a difference (offer help, ask if they have thought about details) - yet, you're not responsible if someone decides to end their life! Further, that's where I have the feeling the game missed to offer an important option: Decide to stay and hang out with her once you realised she is talking suspicious stuff. Instead, the only option to save her was to decline invitations all along which is not realistic.

Gratuitous suicide. Awful message.

the application of a good end/bad end game mechanic to a friend's suicide is misjudged at best, grotesque at worst. feeling like you actually ARE responsible for a person's suicide because you didn't pick up on some hints thrown at you in a three minute gameplay window is a terrible moral message. actually showing the girl hanging was very cheap too, as is the creator tagging this game as 'horror'. please tell me if i'm wrong, but there's nothing from the horror genre here at all??

the art is fairly souless instagram fodder, which feels especially egregious for a story about a girl at her lowest point. she looks like a botoxed baddie!!! where's the dirt!! the shadows under the eyes!!! i think this speaks to the aims of the story overall- it wants to show you someone on the edge but has to wrap it in these layers of cliche tropes and """aesthetic""" sapphic women. it's trying to do too much and failing at all of it.

this game motivates me to make my own, better game lol

I think the funniest thing ever about this game is how half the dialogue interactions are senseless and absurd and idiotic but when you suggest a threesome you get the most cold, down to earth realistic response
